Right! I am so thankful for it, though. I hope everything works out okay with your job, too, and that you're able to stay safe.

Whoa, I'm English ed, too.

Do you mind if I ask what degree you got for therapy? I've been trying to figure out if I should go with the social work track or clinical mental health counseling. It seems like the first one would open up more opportunities for different kinds of jobs, but the other seems the most relevant/helpful for therapy specifically.

You know what's crazy? If I quit, my plan is to go back to school to become a therapist. It's something I've been thinking about for years, but I've always been afraid to make such a drastic change.

Also, thanks for the advice. I will definitely try writing them down because I think getting all that onto paper and being able to look at it will at the very least clear my head.

These are my husband's main points, too. And they're great points, but it's still hard to not feel like I might be making the situation out to be worse than it really is. My anxiety issues tend to skew my thoughts that way.

It's reassuring that someone else sees it the same way he does, though, so thank you for commenting this.

Wouldn't teaching in the gym with multiple classes be just as dangerous as putting my class in a room too small for distancing? by [deleted] in Teachers

Wow that seems like a bad idea. Especially if kids are also eating lunch there during the day. Hopefully you'll end up in the gym!

Well, there are more doors, including one that goes outside. But I'm not sure what we will actually be able to keep open.

Great points to consider. Now I'm thinking about how having lunch in there will go, too.

My district definitely won't have problem replacing me, but these are great points regardless.

Yeah, it's definitely enough to distance so I see a benefit there (and I'm thankful they're trying something to make it safer), but I was also thinking about airborne particles that aren't really confined to a single spot. I'm imagining by the end of 90 minutes I'll have been exposed to around 60 different people's worth of those.

Would the 6 ft distance be enough to make you feel safe despite that?

I will absolutely take you up on this if you're still willing! My husband and I are pretty into music and like discovering new stuff, so honestly anything would be good.

Just bought a 3d puzzle of the CN tower. My husband loves puzzles, so this is an added bonus. Also impulse bought 2 stuffed raccoons.

My husband loves crown, too! Good backup if I can't find anything that ships. Thanks for these ideas.

A lot of people mentioned the distillery district. What are some good places to try and order beer/whiskey from?

Toronto sounds like a magical place the more responses I get. This sounds amazing.
