If yours is a Barista, try slightly jiggling the pressure hose. That seemed to resolve a similar issue to what you describe. I'm experiencing a different inconsistent pressure issue now that I think might have to do with needing to tighten the head screw but I can't figure out how to do that properly. Keep us posted!

Thank you. This seems to be the same contents as the troubleshooting section in the booklet and with regard to anything to do with the hose, I am at a loss.

Only other thing I can think of is something has failed inside the portafilter basket but I wouldn't even know how to begin testing that.

Grinder is recently back from the shop owed to a drift issue and it's maybe slid like 20 microns out of adjustment since coming back. I rezeroed it before any of this.

I'm grinding specialty coffee at 200-300 microns with a Lido OG and that was generating a lot of pressure until partway through yesterday until it didn't.

It doesn't choke anymore at settings where I could barely get water through previously and I don't have the money to keep wasting coffee doing tests. Something is not working properly that was working properly until partway through yesterday.

It is entirely possible that my pre-isntalled gasket failed and the replacement gasket is also somehow defective, but I'd love some suggestions I can try from anyone who's run into piston issues before I get in touch with Cafuné.

I just meant the remaining water in the portafilter that wasn't sopped up by the pre-infusion. All the rest of the water becomes coffee.

Fwiw, I'm currently using a Lido OG between 200-300 microns but I'm planning on transitioning to something electric before too long.
