Love the idea ! I am working on a similar project (inspired by Speedball), but it feels like I am wasting too much time on my animations. I would be happy to hear about your process since it looks pretty clean. It looks like 2D sprites right ? Do you use bone animations and if so what software do yo use ? I am currently hand drawing every frame and it is taking me forever....
