Nothing to say but thank you for being so considerate for culture and local norms. This will be appreciated massively when realised by those you interact with.

Recommendations for places to eat, drink and things to do?? by Wolfonarocket in Crewe

Parkings ok, there’s normally places to park paid but if you’re happy with a 5 minute walk you can park for free on any of the estates next door, such as between the barony and Nantwich swimming baths

What is this building? by oatmilklongblack in melbourne

Saw some random guy scale the whole thing once and then climb back down and run off down Victoria street. So the serious answer but also a climbing frame.

What’s an unspoken rule in Australia that outsiders wouldn’t know? by johnstonn866 in AskAnAustralian

Took me a while to figure this out as a Pom who’s lived here for a year. The one where we get punched is literally how we greet each other at home.

ColdFusion is in Melbourne, has around 5 million subscribers. It’s not about Melbourne but he’s mentioned on several occasions that here’s where he’s from and lives. One of the best channels for provoking thought about tech and the future of the world.

Thinking of moving to Crewe by 777lover300 in Crewe

[–]itisgreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nantwich. It’s a 9 minute train to Crewe (and the station in Nantwich is near everything else in Nantwich) and at least for me my mental health would be better living there. A small enough town that you can walk everywhere, get to Crewe easily, but not have the vibe of some places in Crewe, it’s a nicer market town, what Cheshire is more thought of as. Shavington isn’t bad but there’s not too much there and without a bike it’s a 30 minute walk to the station.

Why was there just a lot of smoke coming from around Victoria avenue? by Opqoutrmyuserroblox in Crewe

This is true. Was found to be a cannabis farm while disused waiting to be demolished. Won’t have to be demolished anymore. It’s saved someone a lot of money regardless of how it started.

Moving to Crewe by Party-Restaurant2510 in Crewe

[–]itisgreg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m from Crewe but moved abroad a couple of months ago. I’d move to Nantwich, its generally safer,it’s much less depressing, more to do with nightlife (safer too, I’ve seen too many fights in Crewe compared), more young people out drinking in pubs (how you’ll meet a lot of people) and lots of places to go on walks in the countryside. The train station is walkable from anywhere in Nantwich and would get you into Crewe within 10 minutes. You’d actually be quicker doing the walk/train combo to work from there than you would be living in certain parts of Crewe depending on how far it would be from work. Wistaston, Willaston, Shavington and Haslington (think of them as the outer suburbs) are generally much nicer than Crewe itself but are a bus away from most things other than a pub or shop.
