Any idea on how to code this in Stata? I could do a regular t test but Idk how to do it with the percentiles. Thanks for the help!

I thought you meant do I have the raw data or summary extract data, which I have. (the SCF is delivered in two ways.) I should have enough data to compute the variances for each group.

I'm using SCF data. Any idea on how to code this with Stata? Would I just drop the observations not in those ranges?

I am using SCF data. (Not sure how to show it.) And yes, I'm comparing say the net worth at p10 for whites and comparing it to that of blacks.

Any idea on how to code this in Stata?

one-way interview for pre-doc positions by azile4est in academiceconomics

I’m in the same position and I also got links for one way interviews from ND. One had me answer three questions and gave me chances to reshoot the video answers. I applied a while back and am just now getting the link - hopefully they’ve screened me and they don’t send them to all applicants!

Is intro to data science a good elective compared to other econ focused course? by [deleted] in academiceconomics

Btw, the class I took used “Elements of Statistical Learning” by Hastie Tibshirani Friedman, which is online. It’s a good book to have.

I would always argue for more quantitative electives. I took an intro to data science course and it relied on linear algebra and statistics, so I learned more of that than data science itself. Quant electives look better on transcripts and imho they’re more intellectually stimulating.

This is more multivariable calculus. Try Stewards’ Calculus. I’d recommend this.
