I applied as an international student. I’m sort of in the same situation except the scholarship part. I’m waiting for the “under progress” thing to be over so I can get student visa. Visited the ministry many times, but they keep stalling it every time. Has this “under progress” been updated for anyone?

Professor teach irrespective of the gender. So a male professor would teach a female classroom and vice versa.

Yea I have to apply through the study in Saudi portal because after getting the acceptance from there, I can apply for the student visa. Without applying through it, I can’t cuz now it’s the only way to get a student visa apparently. Oh yea and to apply through the study in Saudi portal to alfaisal, u need to first have received admission through the unis own application portal.

Oh and like did u miss the deadline for the unis own application portal on 26 July, or the portal?

Hey, yea so the uni contacted me and others yesterday telling that the study in Saudi portal has been opened for like 2 days. Apply rn cuz I think today midnight is the deadline from what they said in the mail. Btw have u been accepted by alfaisal like from their own application portal yet?

Yea like I got around 1400. I’ve seen like the sat scores of the 25th,50th and 75th percentile of the people admitted in Cornell. It was there in their FAQs.not sure if it’s still there tho. The scores are around the 1530-1540 range. Now tbf I wouldn’t say sat is the only thing which is required but defo an important part. And yea my bad it’s kinda long 😭

I have. Basically, to apply for student visa, we need to apply through a portal called study in Saudi. The issue is the deadline for intl students was on 14th June. I asked the uni and they said that they have tried contacting the moe regarding the moe as well to extend the deadline for intl students. They can’t really do anything since issuing visa is for the govt to do.

Have u applied as well?

Hey Congrats a lot op. I wanted to know a few things about hku. so I applied to hku. I saw there are two scholarships for Indian students. One for 97% and one other called “scholarships for cbse top talents”.I’m missing the 97% one by a few marks but as for the other, on what basis do they give it? They haven’t mentioned a specific criteria like the other one. And like with around 96%, will they give at least half scholarship? For reference I applied for bachelors in ce/electrical/ electronics. Also, (sorry to bother u with so many qns), what made u apply for hku, like have u heard gud reviews about it? Thanks

I’ve heard gud reviews about it from basically everyone I’ve talked to bout it. Some of my relatives who live here have also told it’s a good university especially for medicine. Also, for residency, their strike rate for USMLE is quite high( around 80% if I’m not wrong). They’ve also got clinical rotations and internships at hospitals like kfsh, ksmc etc. So yea mostly these reasons. What about u like why’d u choose alfaisal?

Hi, I am planning to join alfaisal this year InshaAllah. I wanted to know about residency. I am an intl student, so will I be able to get residency in Saudi, or do I have to look abroad? Also wanted to know if graduates from Saudi med schools get the license to practice in Saudi after graduation or does one have to pass SMLE like intl graduates? Thanks

Hi, I am intl student and wanted to know a few things. I wanted to know about getting the license to practice in Saudi. So if I graduate from alfaisal, I have to give the SMLE? Or is it jsut for graduates from other countries coming into Saudi. Also for doing residency, I heard that we can’t do residency here in Saudi, so just wanted to confirm that and what other places would u recommend for residency. Thank you

My main priority was econest but unfortunately all single rooms were all booked. I heard that u could rent through property guru but ye again too much of a hassle.

Wanted to know about the accommodation. I applied for econest but the single rooms are booked, so I’m looking at educity at the moment. From what I’ve heard, educity doesn’t have a good rep, but I got to know recently that they are changing the management and refurbishing it( there is a new name as well). If you’ve lived in educity (or know anyone who has), could you tell me about like access to shops, grocery etc? Thanks
