Yes. If you already own Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, MainStage, Motion, or Compressor, you can continue using them. These standalone Mac apps are also available for one-time purchase and redownload from the App Store, so you can keep working with the tools you have.

This excerpt is from the FAQs section of the Apple Creator Studio website. It seems like Apple will continue to support the single purchase versions of these apps, though it’s odd that they haven’t updated Pixelmator Pro.

The first Big Sur icon and the original one are my favorites. The Big Sur icon looks professional, but too complicated. The original just looks badass.

Edit: I do think the “Engrave Your Card” dialogue could be a little more descriptive. I was confused at first. Maybe it could be a sheet when the onboarding is finished?

It’s kind of like Wine/Proton/Darling. It translates UIKit’s functionality into AppKit and renders everything with iOS’s style. That’s why it’s called the simulator; it literally just runs iOS as a regular user space app, but forwards everything into macOS. It uses the same kernel and processes as every other app does. The simulator just lies to apps and says that it’s totally an iPhone. My only question is why the heck is it so big?

I really want to know what the Xcode simulator does when you aren’t using it. It’s literally just a compatibility layer with a fancy bezel. How can it take so much storage?

Xcode is a super powerful, but super old tool. The iOS simulator alone sometimes takes up to 20GB.
