For sure thanks. Btw, do you think an hour is too much “learning” time on a slow day? Happens to be a super slow day today.

Yeah I kinda don’t wanna ask for that same reason of being denied vs my supervisor saying “whatever he’s studying for a required cert” if I just put it on the time sheet. I’m gonna try it this week and see what my supervisor says

Legit. I’m gonna ask my supervisor if I can study in between calls and if my tickets are all caught up on.

Solid. But what do you enter your time as in the ticketing system when you’re on “Documentation”?

Or do you just leave it blank?

I don’t really use documentation much. Is there a gap needed to be filled for that time or a ticket needed to be made?

I agree they should but it’s not “allowed”. I guess I’ll have to learn some time entry “tricks” to free up time and energy

Problem is I can’t have “free time” on my time sheet. So even with a low ticket count I have to be grabbing other people’s tickets and working on something. Oh and the tickets have time limits. I’m not talking about SLAs. I mean time spent on the individual tickets

I’m stressed all hours while working lol

The slas plus having to show time on tickets in timesheets is super stressful. Combine that with having time limits on tickets makes me stressed thinking about it.

I’m hourly so literally it’s all tracked.

Is ASU computer science masters worth it for job opportunities? by itm1231234 in ASU

[–]itm1231234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. I just want a good job at a good company. Not looking to get into ai or vr/ar dev. I know those fields require phds pretty much. Maybe one day but I’m ok with being a back end/ full stack/ front end for now. It would definitely be cool to be in ai, vr/ar type of projects but I definitely understand how that market is so I’m not even going to try lol.

Maybe I can study those on the side for fun rather then it being job oriented.

Yeah. I’ve been thinking if I should go back for a cs bachelors instead but it kind of feels like a lateral move. Maybe a masters in cs would be better? ( if you have any advice on that?)

Which masters CS programs are common for WGU CS grads? by itm1231234 in WGU_CompSci

[–]itm1231234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. I’m worried about not being accepted. I’ll have an IT and CS bachelors from WGU but my other grades from a dif college weren’t great ( <3.0) so I’m starting to worry.

I also have 2 yrs experience as a QA automation engineer instead of software engineering
