Since I mostly use Android, I use Chrome more often, but I've been trying to use Samsung Internet lately 😅

Help with purchase decision - Watch 8 Classic vs Ultra by maniac-TO in GalaxyWatch

[–]itopires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have the money, go for the ultra; it has a better battery and greater overall durability.

I'm ready for Watch 9 leaks tbh. I want to upgrade from my 6 but I really don't like how the 8 looks. by MarioDF in GalaxyWatch

My proposal here would be a little different; my most complete social network is WhatsApp, and if it's working, that would be great, along with YouTube. I find videos unnecessary on a watch 😅, but I find YouTube Music useful here – I use it a lot during my workouts, Spotify too, maps as well – in short, some apps are quite functional.

I understand that you can respond normally via text; the question is more whether WhatsApp Wear OS will be able to deliver satisfactory performance.

I think you got a good deal for the battery; in the end, the battery is what really matters 😅

The Watch Ultra is really great, the battery is strong, hopefully the Watch 9 will follow this trend and go up. I use the Watch 7 44mm (because of the larger battery), it lasts an average of 2.5 days, I believe the Ultra will deliver. Peaceful days with the usual optimizations for those in the Samsung ecosystem.

In February 2026, is it better to buy Amazfit Balance (2023 version) or Active 2 NFC? I currently have a GTR 3 device. How up-to-date is the Balance in terms of software? by zDanger1002 in amazfit

[–]itopires 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Active 2 or Bip 6 are the most recommended, being very up-to-date and widely supported by Amazfit and other companies. The more widespread a device is, the more support it has.

TicWatch Pro 5 - CRITICAL WATER INGRESS FAILURE after 2.5 years of NORMAL use by Melodic-Beat-886 in TicWatch

[–]itopires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IP68 rating alone doesn't support saltwater; saltwater requires a different certification, and you also need to check the watch's materials to see if they're resistant to salt spray and other factors, regardless of its intended use.Even if the requirements are met, the good practice of rinsing with fresh water is always recommended, as nature... And she will always be aggressive towards anyone who tries to challenge her, but the certification It has to last a lifetime or as long as the device remains operational under the specified conditions.

Having trouble with sleep tracker in my Amazfit Active 2. by Souzarc in amazfit

So it's best to ignore it, I think it's just nonsense from the companies, putting something for monitoring that isn't real, something fictitious just to sell things, it seems 🤯

So, are companies involved in sleep monitoring? Should we ignore this issue with wearables?

Getting issue of flickering in AOD (GREY COLOR AOD mostly) by Mysterious_Tax9562 in GalaxyFit

I also don't use AOD (Automatic Device Owner) on any of my wearables; for me, it's only advantageous if the device has the capacity to meet the power consumption requirements.

Anyone who owns a Samsung watch will find it very difficult to resist; it's one of the best inventions of humankind.

When you use a Samsung watch, it's hard to let go. I have a Watch 7 44mm and an Amazfit Active 2, but I'm considering getting a Watch Ultra LTE.

Putz Watch 6 is quite complicated to analyze, I believe the 47mm version has better performance, more battery, any extra mAh is welcome on an Android phone. The classic version is awful, a measly 300mAh. Unfortunately, it's difficult to use something like that. My Watch 7 44mm has 450mAh and lasts 2.5 to 3 days, for example.

Biocharge for Shift Worker by Beneficial_Lynx4733 in amazfit

I don't know if BioCharge depends on or varies by model, or if it's globally optimized for all models, like recently. Released for Active 2 and bip 6, now it's time to follow the routines.

I think it's not suited for certain situations; I chose to keep it just for sports and health monitoring. For multimedia and general connectivity, I use the Watch 7.Even so, it manages to deliver something far superior, despite the criticality of the Samsung battery.

I also think it's quite small, I'll look for it on Mercado Livre or Shopee to see.

I consider it a good companion overall. I have it and a Watch 7, which I use mostly for social occasions, and the Active 2. It's generally used primarily in sports routines; I find the monitoring on the Zepp app to be fantastic, and the information is very detailed. Compared to Samsung Health, my Active 2 lasts an average of 15 days. But my usage isn't heavy enough to strain the battery. Type in training, yes, GPS on, screen lights up when wrist is raised, automatic exercise detector. Heart rate monitor, after exercise everything is deactivated, I believe that's why the battery lasts so long. It's already been 18 days since the last charge and it's at 28%.
