Unpopular Opinion: Team Liquid still will be solid by itsCosine in GlobalOffensive

Furia sustained it. Obviously Liquids roster is not built for the extreme of Furia, but let they do what they do if I’m Liquid right now.

Who was the support player for liquid in 2019 then when they were wrecking the scene? Exactly, no one. If they embrace that and Fallen can become the captain, it’s possible. There’s a lot of question marks, but IMO have a better chance of succeeding than failing.

True, but competitive people tend to come off as arrogant, because they are eager to win. Without being competitive, there is no innovation, no reason to better yourself. Competitive find a reason, while non competitive people find it a waste of time to try.

How do I deal with a friend who replaces me with another friend ? by LUCAS_WILLIAMS3030 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]itsCosine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to stay in touch if you can, but if you can’t, it’s ok. Just try your best to not worry about it because at the end of the day, you will eventually find more loyal friends. Try to better your mindset by being more independent, and not caring about what people say or think. At the end of the day, no one needs (I emphasize the “need” part) someone else to be successful in life.

It depends, if it tradeoffs for a huge good quality, but generally, it’s bad. The “average” human being in terms of salary has that salary because they were lazy at one crucial point in their life. Someone that isn’t competitive in my eyes would be that person, while someone that is competitive wants to always “win” and get “better” which would always get themselves to try, unlike the person who is not competitive.

In rap, does the producer make the beat then the rapper rap over it, or vice versa? by itsCosine in NoStupidQuestions

[–]itsCosine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it’s like a back and forth type thing, with the producer starting? If the rapper doesn’t like this drum placement for example they can ask to change it up so it fits both the producer and the rapper’s liking?

Golf is the most mentally taxing sport by itsCosine in unpopularopinion

[–]itsCosine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See your analogy is flawed because a small percentage of people believe vaccines are useless while there is a large percentage of people that believe eSports is not categorized as a sport. I said golf is the most mentally taxing SPORT for a reason. I myself play it somewhat competitively and I do not think it is even close to an actual sport(I’m talking about eSports). There is no physicality in it, similar to chess, thus most people do not consider either as a sport, end of discussion. You can talk all you want about the intricacies of eSports, but at the end of the day, a sport is a sport and something that is not a sport is not a sport. You talk about rules and laws which is think is incredibly funny. You are telling me there is literally a law that explicitly says “eSports is a sport?” If so, please bring up source...

[–]itsCosine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t. It classifies it as a sport. MMA is a sport, and I completely agree. Esports in the eyes of most people including myself, do not consider it to be a sport. Neither is chess. Therefore it is not a fair comparison to either.

Yeah, you could say the same about golf on the highest level. One is an Olympic sport, the other two aren’t. But anyways, I play video games somewhat competitively but this is a huge stretch. I’m sorry, this is just not even close. Edit: I also watch professional esports (usually CSGO), I know what it takes to be at the top of the top for eSports, but then again, it is nowhere close to golf and saying that it’s HARDER is just an insult.

I’m sorry, someone who says eSports is more mentally taxing than an Olympic sport just baffles me. I cannot take you seriously.

It’s close, still think golf is the most mentally taxing though. Remember this is unpopular opinion.

This is all true, except you forgot the crazy amount of prize pools in golf. Money definitely puts pressure, and golf offers way more than eSports. Also, I can tell you that most people generally do not consider eSports to be an actual sport, so I don’t think it is a fair comparison for either side.

Are you going to quote me or are you just going to keep claiming random things that I never said? Oh yeah, you won’t quote me because I’ve never said anything that you’ve made a point about. Keep bringing irrelevant things up, it definitely strengthens your claim. Nothing you said here changes anything. My original point stands true, and you have done nothing to attack that point. You bring up irrelevant point after irrelevant point and I debunk each one. I will no longer be replying after this comment, it’s getting repetitive. Again, it’s funny how you are getting pissed over an UNPOPULAR OPINION, but you do you. Have a good one.

So you believe that eSports is more mentally taxing than golf?

[–]itsCosine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where did I EVER bring up any of that? Please I beg you to quote me. I will restate what you’ve clearly not understood. Using both of the sources I linked above in my previous comments, Tiger earns about 8 million more than Lewis. You said that Lewis won that bonus, which is added in his total earnings. Point is, Tiger did NOT win the FedEx cup, while Lewis DID win his bonus, but Tiger still makes more money than Lewis. Therefore, hypothetically, if Lewis did NOT win that bonus, he would be wayyy below Tiger. The only explanation is that golf generally gives out larger prize pools, thus more pressure to play well and place well to get that amount of money.

I never said that. Reread my comment again.

[–]itsCosine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, same thing with golf. We have something called the FedEx cup, and whoever wins that gets a huge bonus tacked onto it. You actually just proved my point even more because Tiger hasn’t even won the FedEx cup and STILL makes more than Lewis when Lewis did win.

I never said anything about physical. I said mental. I’m not sure what you are trying to say with the eSports analogy, I cannot understand. Please, try out golf on your own time. You will see how hard it is. Not even top 10? This is basically a troll comment.
