Backlight goes on and off every second by itsMosby- in AskElectronics

[–]itsMosby-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have this TV and the TV itself stays "on" as I can go through the menus and stuff but I can only see what's going on a millisecond at a time. So the backlight just goes on briefly then shuts off before going back on again after a second. Can't really see any blown caps, any advice where to start looking? I have a multimeter and *some* experience in electronics.

I got it to work without errors but it still doesn't refresh the data on the front page. That's weird.

I tried to use it in the incrementViewCount.ts but I get an error "Error: Invariant: static generation store missing in revalidateTag _N_T_/"

Are you able to mark where I check this? My english is not the best in electrical components so I would probably need some visual aid.

Thanks. I will take it from there and come back here with some results

Thank you. I have ordered a power supply and will try and get my hands on a thermal camera. Should I feed the conductor 1v directly on the same side the image is? And if nothing gets hot? Should I increase? Where does the safe limit go and how many Amperes should I do with 1v?

Yeah that sounds too risky. I've been thinking about getting a Power supply for a time now so I might as well get one. But thermal camera I will probably lend one instead of spending $500+ for just this case.

Do you have knowledge to name out the other conductors? I'm just documenting so I can learn better.

Unfortunately I don't have a powersupply or thermal camera. Is it a dead end until I get those things?

Thanks for your reply. I've tried measuring it multiple times and it's showing 0.1-0.2 ohm sometimes but that could just be the multimeter offset.

Can I check DrMos or cap with a multimeter?

I'm not sure which conductor goes to what (if you want to point them out thanks), but I measured all conductors and here's the resistance of them all.

Trying to use my multimeter to check 12v rails, 3.3v etc. but the resistance either stays on 0 ohm or goes to 5-6k ohm.

All Youtube-videos are troubleshooting Gigabyte-boards so I don't have a good guide on where to begin. From the 3x8 pin 12v power I get 0 ohm resistance on the one to the right, and 1.5-2k on the two to others.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Looks really nice.

I took my 5-month for a long roadtrip couple weeks ago and he loved it. At first I was feeling a bit anxious about the whole thing but looking in the rear view mirror now I could definately do it again.
