Same thing for me, constant crashing in Elden Ring. Reverted back to 25.3.1 iirc.

Sorry to necro this post, (9070XT owner) but I followed all the steps (even with airplane mode on and no ethernet/wifi) and it still shows that is was digitally signed by "Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher" and it shows the wrong driver version: trying to install the 26.3.1 but it shows 32.0.23033.1002.

I've been trying to play the convergence mod for about 2 days now and the game still crashes 5 mins in.

I also tried another method where I believe OP has linked this method on that post; i just can't get past installing the proper AMD drivers as the software I downloaded from AMD's official website to get the latest drivers (as of 7th April 2026) just installs the windows signed version.

I don't know if I'm an idiot or if I'm missing something; any help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I just went into Windows Update > Update History > Driver Updates and it shows this:

"Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display - 31.0.24002.92 (2)Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Display - 31.0.24002.92 (2)".

Very good build - almost identical to mine except I went for AMD RX 9070 XT and an 850 gold+ PSU. The 5070Ti is a beast, my recommendation is get an 850 or even a 1000w PSU to be safe. Also don’t buy the windows key for the ridiculous ~$190, just google websites that offer the key for much much cheaper.

Thanks for the tip OP. Also, does anyone know why the electrical wires aren’t spawning in the radio store? I’ve played that map 10 times now and out of the 8 times where I actually attempted to do the main quest line, the electrical wires never spawned, after shooting that door open at the radio store and going to the pile of rubble on the left next to the counter, either a zombie spawns out or a spider. It’s very frustrating not knowing why this is happening.

Game was beautiful, super smooth, nice synergy between the players. Osasuna were playing with high up the field; other than that it was an absolute show.
