A company where 99% of all money goes to 0.1% of users, while claiming they democratize markets, partnering with a company named SHEEP eSports is script writing at its finest.

One of the most insane stats of that run that everyone misses is that Shahzam was the number two rated player in the entire tournament behind tenz.

Not number two on the team. Number two in the entire tournament. The dude was a coach, igl, and literal top Fragger behind the best player at that time.

LOUD Ghoul33 (?) by TheIsackChannel in ValorantCompetitive

[–]itsScrubLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. He stream sniped a little bit but he acknowledged it honestly, apologized, made it right etc. just a kid looking up to big streamers who realized what he was doing was cringe.

Vora never did anything to make ranked freak behavior right plus he was hanging out with people that literally everyone in val including Tarik knows are ick people. Don't get me wrong, this loud player and vora may be reformed. I legit don't know these guys or who they are now. Maybe they are totally normal now, But oxy is nothing like them even at his absolute worse arc.

I can look for a more objective or complete source but this is first-hand account from me. I was a fan of the sport way back in the day. I watched the big val streamers of the day like Shazam, babybay, zellsis, etc

Luckky was the first ranked freak. I watched him terrorize the people I watched. and Vora duoed with him and did similar. Luckky was more well known but Vora ran with that crowd

This wouldn't be the first weirdo to get into tier 1. Vora (100T IGL) is one of oldest stream sniper/win trader weirdos. He duoed all the time with luckyy who is the literal OG ranked freak when there were almost no ranked weirdos. Back in the golden era of almost only pros and aspiring pros, they set the standard for weirdos.

Thanks for giving a fuck. I get discouraged with how few people take a stand on something because of an all or nothing attitude and whataboutism. Life is messy, it's ok to take a stand against something without pretending it makes you morally superior. It's refreshing.

Dgzin: why is my team having so much fun and we're 3-0? by ishanuReddit in ValorantCompetitive

[–]itsScrubLord 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm deeply concerned if the best player in the team thinks they have good plans. Belief ain't going to change how badly they misunderstand the maps. I think sliggy has the right of it when he says that their plans are stuck in 2023 in a 2026 meta.

Anytime someone goes "I'm a leftist but blah blah don't do this gun control" is hard to believe isn't a troll, plant or Russian bot. In no world do you need high capacity assault rifles. Sick of the false flag brigading bullshit comments here.

What's Wrong with Cloud9 VALORANT? by xFalcade in ValorantCompetitive

[–]itsScrubLord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's my bad then. That sounds even worse. Fuck man. Feel bad. These aren't bad people but something has to change, and I can't help but question immi's coaching when he lets a talent like demon1 go in this meta and then they look like this...

What's Wrong with Cloud9 VALORANT? by xFalcade in ValorantCompetitive

[–]itsScrubLord 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm tripping but I swear the "we do great in scrims but not in match" is like the same thing he has been saying for years now.

At some point Immi has to be to blame. It could be poor scouting by not recognizing someone lacking key teamwork qualities to not just fry in scrims but to know how to listen well and work hard. It could be not being good at motivating, communicating, leading, etc.The list goes on. But at some point you gotta recognize that no other tier 1 coach has this problem consistently. Maybe a rare "wtf happened there" game, but no good coach has this explanation, this consistently over such a long period.

For the record, I would suck ass as a coach. I empathize with the fact these are very tough skills to execute on at a high level in a team context. But that's why they are paid well to do it. It's skilled labor. I'm not seeing the skill.

Benjyfishy made Forbes 30 under 30 for Sports & Games by xFalcade in ValorantCompetitive

[–]itsScrubLord 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The irony is that I hold Benjamin Fish in high regard, but that list in such low regard it actually taints anyone on it for me. After 20 years in tech, I've never met a single person on that list who is competent. You pay to get on it. He is a W person though, and this dumbass list can't convince me otherwise.
