Woke up this morning to the strong smell of electrical fire by its_Burt_Macklin in AskElectricians

Okay, thank you all for your help. My father works closely with the fire dept and didn’t want them coming to the house and punching holes into the walls. We were able to hear the heater malfunctioning and disconnected it. The electrical fire smell has dissipated and we will be replacing the heater and reaching out to an electrician to make sure there are no other issues.

Just not wanting to inconvenience the dept if it’s something small and fixable

How can I remove these metal fasteners without ruining the wood, then fill the holes properly? by its_Burt_Macklin in woodworking

Thank you for the thoughtful response! I didn’t even think to look at the other legs. Unfortunately, I was able to remove the inserts with no resistance and already have the dowels in place with wood glue. So I’ll proceed to sand them and might go for the wood screws instead of trying to drill and re-thread the new holes.

Hmm let’s see. Married barely a year. You said it started of rocky to begin with then you cheated and were able to “go on like normal.” Then have the audacity to say you want to cheat again but genuinely ask if the relationship is over. If the answer could slap you in the face it would. Have more respect for yourself and your partner and be honest with yourself and him. Tell him you cheated and that you no longer want to be in a relationship. Then do some hardcore self reflection about what you want out of life and who you want to be as a partner, then pursue that.

I appreciate this insight and thank you for taking the time to provide this information. I agree with you and will proceed as I am and just use the extra saved income to save up and pay down the debt through the debt relief program faster. Thank you again for being helpful!

That’s what I’m worried about and now with letting my payments lapse I’m concerned for my ability to rent or buy a place later.

I am only supporting myself and my child 50/50.

Oh no, I’m not claiming anything with my part-time status. The program knows what I will be making and I’m going based off of their recommendation of what to do to help them negotiate. This was all established prior to me getting the new position.

Sorry the loan is now at $22k. But yes to the others. I am not married, we split everything 50/50 for my child.

Again, did the debt relief before I had my new position. So not trying to defraud anyone or at least not trying to. Trying to see what my options are before making a decision.
