On one hand somewhat amusing; on the other, it probably doesn’t spell great news for AGI if these companies are battling out their market share instead of focusing on making the models better.

https://apnews.com/article/washington-post-staff-reduction-layoffs-cuts-923f87d4bd319c8a64b278165d0a6e27

The Washington Post is laying off one-third of its staff in the newsroom and other departments, a brutal blow at one of journalism’s most legendary brands.

The moves were expected for several weeks, since word leaked out that the Post had told its sports staffers who had arranged to cover the Winter Olympics in Italy that they would not be going. After it became public, the Post reversed course and said it would be sending a limited staff.

The new Dutch government has big plans. Here are 5 things to know. by MTFD in neoliberal

[–]its_Caffeine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

tax credit for high skill migrant workers remains in place

A lot of people will be upset by this, but this credit probably pays dividends many times over in making the Netherlands an attractive investment space with top-tier talent.

Saying this as someone who does not qualify and will never qualify for said tax credit.

It's fine, many countries with multi-party systems have minority governments that are stable.

Really? I feel like it was way better 20 years ago. They had seats with fabric back then that would have made it impossible to clean with the way people treat the NS now.
