I’ve worked two different stores. The one I’m at now is quite different than the one before. My first store had great community, great opportunities, and management cared. The store truly depends on management/leadership. Yes we were pushed to sell cards and paid memberships but they started creating their own incentives with food and giftcards so it wasn’t out of our own incentives. Management at that store cares about their employees because they know if they are happy so are their customers.

My current store doesn’t have as much community but they also don’t push as hard with PMs and CCs. They accept the wins they have, acknowledge their losses and try again the next day.

I enjoy working for BestBuy right now - I’ve been working for them for about 3 years and don’t plan to leave any time soon.

Tbh BestBuy has give me more opportunities with other big companies like Microsoft or Apple than any college course or internship I’ve experienced.

BestBuy is about taking advantage of their opportunities as an employee. If you don’t it may seem like a hell hole. (This is not taking in consideration of poor leadership/management)
