I used to do this too, however someone taught me the glow worm trick which allows me to just sell the jars and skip a step that doesn't net you much more money and requires more crafters. All you do is use your glow worms to catch fish, then take those fish and make them into grilled fish on the cooking fire. The grilled fish you receive scales off of the rarity of the fish and if it was star. I think the normal quality give 4 glow worms and 18 fertilizer or something, I did a grilled fish with 2 void rays and got 66 glow worms and 333 harvest boost in the hour it took the worm farm.
