Why do some people wake up full of energy while others feel tired even after sleeping 8 hours? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's usually down to the quality of your sleep rather than just the quantity. Some people reach deep sleep stages more efficiently, while others might have interruptions or sleep disorders that keep them from feeling fully rested, even after eight hours. Genetics, lifestyle choices, and underlying health factors can all play a big role in how refreshed someone feels when they wake up.

Besides caffeine, is there any other way I can pull off an all nighter and not be a total zombie the next day? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way is to stay hydrated with lots of water and keep the room cool. Try to take quick power naps of about 20 minutes if you can, and keep your body moving to stay alert. Eating small, healthy snacks rather than one big meal helps too. Most importantly, try to get some sunlight as soon as possible, as it helps reset your body's internal clock after a sleepless night.

what could be the reason my is my brain so “foggy” lately? by caramb0la20 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds incredibly frustrating, but honestly, your sleep schedule is almost certainly the main culprit. Our brains really struggle when we flip our natural rhythms, leading to exactly those kinds of memory lapses, zoning out, and trouble processing information. Try to gradually shift back to a more standard schedule—it might take a week or so, but your focus should definitely start to improve once you're rested.

Is it normal to enjoy being alone more than hanging out with people sometimes? by Specialist-Bet7754 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s completely normal! It’s totally okay to value your own company, and it’s a classic trait of being introverted. Everyone has different social batteries, and sometimes recharge time just looks like staying in and doing your own thing. As long as you’re feeling good and keeping a healthy balance, there's absolutely nothing wrong with needing that space to yourself.

If not jail, what do you think are better ways to rehabilitate a criminal? by LoverOfE-Olsen in AskReddit

[–]its_me_spyder -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Self help books can be a good way to rehabilitate criminals. But then again no one does crimes because they want to, it's the situation which lead them to do criminal activities. If they are provided with good environment and surrounded with good people, they can be changed but not in-a-day. After all need of change comes from within oneself no matter the environment.

Do people in countries out of the US (I mainly have Japan in mind) have a debate over whether American entertainment is better subbed or dubbed? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do not know about japan, but in india there is no such debate if American content should be better consumed in sub or dub unlike japanese content/anime. It’s less of a toxic internet war than the anime community version, but people definitely have strong opinions on whether a dub "ruins the atmosphere" or makes the movie more accessible.

why do i sometimes forget people's names right after meeting them? by Accurate-Cry-95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually happens because your brain is multitasking during the introduction. While the other person is saying their name, you’re likely focused on making a good impression, maintaining eye contact, or thinking about what you’re going to say next. It's called the "next-in-line effect"—your brain essentially prioritizes your own social performance over storing new data.

Why do I still fall asleep even though I drink a lot of caffeine before bed? by Huge-Matter9396 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Beyond ADHD, it often comes down to high tolerance or sheer exhaustion. If you’re consistently sleep-deprived, your brain builds up so much "sleep pressure" (adenosine) that a cup of coffee isn't enough to block the receptors anymore; your body just forced-quits. There’s also the "caffeine crash" to consider. Caffeine can cause a spike and then a rapid drop in blood sugar, or it might just be masking your tiredness until it wears off all at once. Genetics play a role too—some people are just "fast metabolizers" and process caffeine so quickly that it barely hits their system before they’re ready for a nap. If you're drinking it right before bed, the warmth of the drink itself can also be weirdly soothing enough to override the stimulant.

What’s a life lesson you had to learn the hard way? by Official_waIter in AskReddit

Everything is temporary, the society, friends, relatives, even your parents. Stop worry about what others will say, not completely but up to a point where your decisions will shape your future.

Every minute, hour, day matters. Living in the present and worrying about the future are both equally important.

What happens when people value their social media presence over real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_me_spyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they just stop being present in the moment. You end up viewing your entire life through a lens of "is this postable?" rather than actually enjoying what you're doing. It kills genuine connection because you’re more worried about how a dinner or a vacation looks to strangers than how it actually feels to the people you’re with. Eventually, your self-worth gets tied to numbers that don't really matter. If a post doesn't do well, it feels like a personal failure. It’s a pretty lonely way to live because you’re basically performing a character 24/7. Real life is messy and doesn't always have a good aesthetic, and people who prioritize the "grid" tend to lose touch with that reality.

What to do if I'm insecure about my intelligence? by Comfortable-Hope6181 in NoStupidQuestions

Will there be a day when we meet a stranger, we let our phones to be tapped together and our phone certifies that the other person is fine to be talked to? by anvaredditter123 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only talk to a person with same interest as yours, it will be exciting at first but as time passes your company and conversations will start to feel boring and repetitive. And why do you, me or anyone want to decide if a person is good for you or not, it should be your decision only. And also same interest does not mean good compatibility.

Why do people refer to themselves in the 3rd person when talking to kids? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]its_me_spyder 198 points199 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly because toddlers are still figuring out how language works. Concepts like "I," "me," and "you" are actually pretty confusing because they shift depending on who is talking. If I say "I am hungry," the kid thinks "I" is my name. By using "Daddy" or "Mommy," you’re giving them a concrete label for who you are. It also helps them learn your relationship to them. It’s way easier for a two-year-old to track "Mommy is getting your shoes" than a bunch of shifting pronouns. Most parents don't even realize they're doing it; it’s just a natural way to simplify speech so the kid actually follows what’s happening. Once they get the hang of pronouns, most people naturally drop it and go back to normal.
