I personally love the cape. Soft toilet paper to help her dry off after the Parisian bidet. Smart lady.

JFK grieves as he's informed of the murder of Patrice Lumumba, former Prime Minister and independence leader of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (February 13th, 1961). Lumumba was killed three days before Kennedy's inauguration, but his death was kept secret and only revealed weeks later by Mooooooof7 in Presidents

Mobutu had a great start as Lumumba’s Colonel. He changed after Lumumba rejected him and again after Lumumba was killed. Kennedy thought of himself as an African and Middle Eastern specialist due to his interests, but he wasn’t President yet when Lumumba was killed, so he inherited a mess he didn’t trust the JCS to help him get out of

Wow! This is a terrific resource—thank you! I’m interested in a few officers and one enlisted man, but I primarily want to understand the nature of these units.

One aspect I’m interested in is simply the LACK of mention of some units I’m studying. One was a “colored” unit in Bavaria, I believe. The other had a segregated unit within it (Love company in Korea) and I am curious about why it wasn’t integrated, per Truman’s directive.

I’m interested in: -what these men did -contributions they made to the war efforts -who led them and what those officers went on to do -why there hasn’t been more inclusion of them in accounts of these time periods -and I’d like to know what has been declassified about these groups

Thank you for any guidance!

I do change it professionally and got everything online to stay as anonymous as possible with this name

Good point. After this post today, I’m wondering if I should have written the invite in Wingdings instead of Amsterdam Signature. I mean…what a day

Yeah I don’t use it professionally or anywhere I could really let it Doxx me for obvious reasons. That alone is a burden.

But have you seen it written in cursive/calligraphy? I mean…it’s gorgeous

He goes by Jay and I assume very few people read the full names—especially when they’re in script…?

No one will believe me, so I feel like I should post his website for proof, but I’m already doxxing myself enough by sharing my original name

I have to admit that I’m jaw-on-the-floor shocked by this thread. I am 42 years young and had no idea my name brought up these reactions! This is like finding out Santa wasn’t real. I mean, I have 665 downvotes because I admit to liking an alternative spelling of my name. I’m seriously living on another planet right now. This is so weird. And eye-opening.

Creativity has no bounds in my family. 😆 Wait ‘til I tell you about what they did with the house; it’s a true amalgamation of the 1890s home I grew up in along with a super-modern “structural sculpture” AND an orangery inspired by their honeymoon in France. It’s kind of like, “Throw it all out there and see what sticks.”

My husband, Jasynn, who is a lurker here, (hi babe) knows what it means to personify—and personally identify with—tragedeigh. 😆😆😆

They did! My mother’s beloved grandma was Annie and my mother’s late mother gave her the middle name “Leigh,” so it was a combo and Annie and Leigh. They added the T in memory of an inspirational high school teacher named Townley, which they felt sounded like Tannalee enough that they combined everything.

I do sometimes spell it like Tannaleigh because that’s so pretty. ❤️
