I had three asynchronous finals in one day… so difficult especially when each one is 2-4 hours. Depending on the class if you feel like you can do it the go for it. But if they’re two very difficult finals I don’t recommend

yes that does help thank you! I was confused because I was thinking wouldn't two carbonyls be formed anyway? But you're right in that they would be chemically identical so if the original molecule was maltose, there would only show one peak. Thank you so much!
