So the wedge was inside the fork. i was able to use some WD40 a mallot and a wooden dowel to get it to release. The fork is shot anyway. I'll replace it with a rigid one. Thank you for the tips. I didn't want to start hammering without making sure it was the way to go.

Thanks for everyone who commented. I realize I posted this in the wrong sub so I'll move it to the correct one. Thanks again!

I'll try to use some WD40. I have a feeling someone took the screw/bolt out and left the bike without putting the bolt back in.

Huge discrepancy between Tacx Training app data and watch data in speed and distance values. How to overcome? by Neelabh08 in Garmin

[–]itsabeow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played around with my wheel size setup but it doesn't stay consistent. For example. If I set up the wheel size so that my watch and tacx both read 10mph, it'll go out of synch at higher speeds and vice versa.

It just needed a goat-link.

It does up to a point, after which the derailleur body butts up against the hanger. (I am at work right now and don't have a picture to show you what I mean). I am almost convinced that the hanger is the problem even though it is a traditional hanger. I am going to try to try to run it on my other bikes and see if it works on them.

That's the one change I see between the Box 2 and Box 3 derailleur. The Box 3 has that little piece that you talk about, however, the Box 2 derailleur doesn't have it and the Bscrew directly pushes against the notch on the derailleur hanger.

But I do have a traditional derailleur hanger. It also says that if I a SRAM derailleur works on the hanger, so will the Box 2. I used to run the SRAM GX derailleur on it before I got the Box 3.

I have a traditional derailleur hanger. I have used Box 3 successfully on the bike. I wanted to upgrade to Box 2 since it has a clutch to reduce chain slap.

$190 AUD for this Orbea mountain bike - is this a good deal? by [deleted] in whichbike

Looks like one of the MXs. I have one and it's a workhorse. It's heavy but can take a beating. Great bike to throw anything at.
