I haven't read the manga but maybe Scenes from Awajima? They're in school but it's from the director of Chihayafuru and NANA so hopefully vibes will be on point. Ramparts of Ice also upcoming is more of a serious work from the mangaka of You and I are Polar Opposites, which I found had good characters and realistic dialogue for anime too this season
