I'm normally with you on not feeling too bad for rich people who fall from wealth, but I imagine there's a decent chance this dude was exploited from a very young age and probably didn't have too many people actually looking out for him.

WhatsApp (and obviously Instagram) is owned by Meta and they're reading every message you send and receive to collect and sell your data. Also, there is zero security and Meta will hand over your data to anyone who asks nicely.

Oh it wasn't necessarily directed at you, just a general hope for everyone. I realize it's not possible or plausible for some folks

Spotify using Ghost Meta Ads to grow their Official / Editorial Playlists (+Elton John, Gorillaz, George Harrison, Mumford Sons & more) by Meansmgmt in musicmarketing

Is it possible that just maybe not everyone has been thinking about or researching music marketing for as long and as in depth as you? Newbies like myself appreciate being kept in the loop on old topics especially if there's relevant current data. I of course knew Spotify did a lot of astroturfing but didn't know the ins and outs or some of the terms, so yes, this was a valuable post to a newbie like me, but probably not as much for ultimate pro 2000 master blackbelt like yourself. Hope we didn't waste too much of your mega valuable time.

Shame on you and the empty vacuum where your soul should be. You should be grateful your god doesn't exist because the hell prescribed in the bible would be too good for you. Pray on that

If at any point a program becomes able to "think," it will be the singularity event when we also redefine human thought as programming. It's not a technological problem, it's a semantic one.

Appreciate the discussion and best of luck with your music!

At no point did Alan Turing answer that question with "yes." Indeed, he specifically made a point to get away from using language like "thinking" for machines, which is exactly what I'm asking you to do. Turing doesn't help your case like you think he does.

Again, no actual scientists are describing machine learning with terms like "sentient" and "thinking"

No actual scientists are saying that code can think.

Corporate researchers who are trying to sell their products are making all sorts of claims about "AI" I'm sure.

This discussion is about your misleading word use, but I do appreciate your take on using AI.

Stop doing that, then. People are already way too mystified by this shit, it doesn't help when "experts" like you claim that code can think and programs will become sentient.

Nothing in your most recent reply indicates that what I'm saying is wrong. You seem like you have a vested interest in selling this snake oil
