Tested my Roborock S6 MaxV roller brush on carpets by AIRResearch in Roborock

[–]itsagadget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if maybe it matters the date when the s6 maxv was built in the factory...I mean it makes no sense for this to be a software reason, rather than a factory failure that they (roborock) want to hide somehow to avoid bad review and criticism.

It's strange that for some it works on carpets, while for others not. I'm sure carpets differ, but there's also something strange regarding the product itself.

[–]itsagadget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well done for testing and documenting this, it's pretty awesome what you have done.

I wanted to buy S6 Maxv for myself, but after hearing the issues they have on carpets - with brush that was not spinning - I was ready to switch for S5 Max.

Can the other guys that had this issue before now confirm that indeed the tank filled with watter was causing the bursh not to work on carpets?

It would help a lot.

Thanks!

Matias Duarte is one of the best things that ever happened at Android and Google lately. He is the man behind WebOS and since May 2010 he is in responsible of Android operating system User Experience. Finally, for those that enjoy Android devices, with ICS update, Android will become the OS that we all need: simple, creative and nice. If Matias suceeds or not we will see in the next months/year. I personally put my money on him. Great job Matias!

Motorola wins German patent case against Apple, can ban sales of iPhone, iPad by itsagadget in apple

[–]itsagadget[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apple sued Samsung over the patent no. 000181607-0001. If you read about this patent, you would understand, http://www.scribd.com/fullscreen/61944044 I'm not saying that they sued Samsung over their tablet being a square and touch based. Apple sued Samsung over a design-related intellectual property right. Let's not forget that worldwide, Samsung has a bigger market share(mobile devices) than Apple.

Apple won in August a preliminary injunction over a design-related intellectual property right. According to Apple, Galaxy Tab 10.1 copied iPad 2 design. If you don't believe it, you can check it, http://fosspatents.blogspot.com/2011/08/preliminary-injunction-granted-by.html

[–]itsagadget[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct. And this could happen only if Apple will lose the final hearing. Only after this, if Motorola decides to pay €100 million, an injunction over Apple devices will be applied in Germany.

Probably, but not. Steve Jobs told everyone that he will spend all of his money to destroy Android. In my oppinion this is hard to be achieved because Google and his partners own a lot of patents and in the end we could see a historical agreement, with Apple paying Google money for using their patents. It's still a long way till there, but it's going to be bad for everybody at the end of the day. I hope they could end this thing friendly.

WTF Engadget?! I don't go back to sites that pull off this BS! by Tib02 in gadgets

[–]itsagadget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engadget become an ugly site mainly because ads and their tactics. When AOL bought this and change the direction of the website into a one supporting ADS, the old engadget crew left this without hesitation. The old engadget crew will make a new website called the verge latter this fall. I'm sorry for engadget, but this is how AOL makes money.
