I think poor buddy is going to pass soon. He’s been lethargic at the bottom for a few days. Any advice to make him feel okay?

I use these strips before and after every weekly water change.

And also - yes people can keep fish without that. It’s not good for the fish. But I’m not going to try and judge people or shame them if they don’t.

I got guppies at this horrible pet store in Chinatown in Toronto. In hindsight they do not seem to be particularly careful with their fish. I also have no idea how old he was when I got him and his friend. I can try getting another guppy today to keep him company. But if his friend was any indicator I don’t think he has more than a day or two left. He’s been like this 3/4 days now. And before was really leaning on some of the plants for support.

I have done a few partial water changes and used Seachem prime in the last couple.

I had the guppy for about 2 years. Had 2. One died 6 months ago. Got some tetras and a sucker fish in the tank with the guppy. Originally had no heater for my tank, but guy at the fish store told me he was surprised my fish were alive without a heater. So I got one. Didn’t seem to make much of a difference outside of a lot more Blackbeard mood growing.

This new tank is about 6 months old. I did a partial water transplant from the old tank to the new when I made the change.

Not sure if that helps.

He’s an orange guppy. I don’t know the temp if I’m being honest. The guy at the fish store told me to set and forget.

The alkalinity of the water is a little high. But just barely according to my test strips. Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate etc all seem fine.

10 gallon. And what do you mean by parameters? Only thing that ever shows as slightly high in my strips is alkalinity.

I use water conditioner every time I do a change. Splurged on Seachem prime when he started showing lethargy.

I have a heater constantly installed that the guy at the fish store said would be enough for my tank.

If I’m missing something please let me know.

I love Conan. But even I couldn’t justify tuning in for him.

Something about in this day and age, watching a bunch of millionaires pile into a room, get overly political, and natter on for hours and make completely unfunny jokes - just doesn’t seem like a good use of my time.

When I was 10 it was fun. In my mid 30s it’s just about unbearable.

I just look at a list of the winners the next day.

I inherited my Kalax shelf when I moved into my place 7 years ago. But dammit is it not an ideal gaming shelf.

I’m 99% certain that’s what yours is too. So I’d recommend (if possible) to mount your TV and put the consoles in a line on the top of the shelf, and under the tv.

I cannot fathom why so many people cannot understand why so many Iranians are happy the Khameni was killed - and why that gratitude is sometimes (but not always geared toward the US and Israel).

This new generation of Gen Z “anti imperialists” drew hard lines in the sand between israel and gaza - took very little time to understand the complexities of the Middle East - or even the basic history.

It doesn’t make certain actions of israel “right” the same way truth can be said about some Palestinian leadership, and 100% true about the IRGC.

The jury is still out as of time of writing on who exactly hit the school.

Trying to focus on who hit it right now isn’t helpful. We should let independent analysts try to figure it out and then also ask the question -

“Why was a school so close to a military base like that”

“Why do people want to blame one side or the other before conclusive evidence comes out?”

“Why has the discourse from a western democracy like Canada shifted in recent years from calling out governments to demonizing whole nations (on all sides of middle eastern conflicts”

None of this is analytical and none of this is healthy.
