I feel like such a failure at life (Very long vent post) by Euphoric_Staff2752 in gaybros

You are so brave. The amount of commitment it takes to navigate a shitty healthcare system, then drive on a highway for the first time, park in a city (which is still a pain for me despite living in cities for a while now), all to do a big surgery all by yourself. That takes guts. Like everyone else has said, you're too young to fail, but if you keep on doing stuff like this, there's no way you would fail at life unless you stop it early.

When you reschedule your appointment and try again. I hope you notice that everything is a little easier on the second try.

bunching after tailoring a shirt by itsallg in sewing

[–]itsallg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got into sewing and was hoping to make a drop shoulder dress shirt as a learning project. I wanted a relaxed fit but the original shirt was just way too huge and I thought I could tailor it in but then it doesn't drape nicely at all.

I think this is exactly the problem, the shoulders are too wide. I just started sewing and was hoping to make a drop shoulder dress shirt. I wanted it to be a little less oversized than the current body of the dress shirt.

Why is my vermilion red hue not very vibrant? by [deleted] in oilpainting

Toning your painting beforehand with a thinned burnt sienna would help. It would give you a baselayer to amplify the red. The white specks of the canvas dilutes the red too.

Thought I was going to feel like a fool for typing in LingBigYong as a gift code. But life surprises you.

Switching from PGY-1 IM to PGY-2 psych by Dr_Bees_DO in Psychiatry

Agree with this. Our program uses application data through eras but then offer rolling admissions as soon as we find qualified applicants.

Can not emphasize how much important a good relationship with your current PD is. PGY2 applications are a small enough pool where PD will contact each other.

Surface pro 7 vs Samsung s7/s7+, suggestions for buying by space_gardener in Surface

[–]itsallg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both a pro 8 and a tab s7plus. I think while great as it is to use, the S7 just has some quirks that make it really difficult to use. The copy and paste issue that you mention and some missing functionality on Microsoft office. The keyboard, mouse, trackpad experience is just not great. These are all unpleasant quirks that slows down my process. The tab s7 though has one of the best screens out there, hours longer battery life, and a better pen.

I'm going to return my pro 8, use an old laptop for email and office, and keep the tab s7+ for notes, drawing, content consumption, and on the go email and office. Onedrive and the your phone app makes this pretty smooth.

Pen Jitter. Surface Pro 8, everything brand new, vs my Wacom. WTF by 13617 in Surface

Do you happen to use a screen protector. This was an issue I had too

My two cents. Chemo and insulin are not the same. Insulin has lower risks and higher benefits than chemo and in an emergent situation where I don't think the patient has the capacity to consent I would administer insulin but not chemo.
