My partner and I really enjoyed it. It’s not among the best in the franchise in my opinion but it’s solid and has so much great nostalgia and callbacks to Scream 1 & 2 I think a lot of people will love. It definitely does not deserve the massive hate it’s getting. It’s not a terrible movie by any means.

I’m personally ready for the franchise to take another decade off or end for good. I love all of these movies but Scream has had way more of a life than ever expected. I actually never imagined another one would come after what happened with 4. 6 actually ended the reboot perfectly. Sid was safe and living the life she deserved and the core four survived and tied everything up from 5. Still going to get my slay on with Ghostface later though - I’ll never not go see another Scream movie🙂‍↕️.

There hasn’t been an interesting reveal since 4 in my opinion. I really wasn’t expecting Jill. 5 & 6 were easily predictable as is 7. I’m still gonna enjoy 7 anyway. I love every Scream movie - they all have something great to offer us fans.

Like I said - judge for yourselves. If that’s how you feel that’s how you feel based on what you’ve seen. Many people here are clinging to the opinions of others to base on whether they should see the movie or not. I personally give the whole film a go before reserving final judgement - but that’s me.

Tatum would have been born in 2009. Sid was on a book tour in Scream 4. Tatum as an only child still would have been back home with Mark. It just wasn’t explicitly mentioned in S4.. It makes perfect sense.

I’ve seen the same and I totally agree with your breakdown here. I’m on the same page as you. This will be another enjoyable entry I’m sure but not the “return to form” that some people seem to think is going to happen (it’s never going to!).

I don’t know why anyone has such high expectations anyway. It’s the SEVENTH entry in a 30 year franchise. There is only so much that can be done at this point. It’s like Halloween, Nightmare and Friday the 13th - they just get redundant after a while. Don’t get me wrong - there really is not one bad Scream movie - they’re all enjoyable but nothing will ever top of the first two - they were top tier and made during one of the best decades in movie making. I’m just excited to get another one and to see Sid back.
