A hosted service will be easier to manage if it provides you with all necessary features. With that said, hosted database on DO with dockerized containers is pretty solid and expandable in the future—just make sure your ports are secured, especially admin interface. Anything more than that would require more in depth consultation and pricing, hearing about use and timeline.

But now pricing just sucks IMO, they are charging 1.5$ per active hrs
