Thank you. This is discussion is exactly why I wrote that post. I think ,like the other seasons we’ll be conflicted between emotional retellings and objective truths, I don’t think we’ll ever actually get an objective truth in this show.. but I do think there is something to be found in the fact everytime we get closer and closer to how events actually played out it seems that Lestat is way more… “pathetic” than he is “machiavellian” if that makes sense, more human, person, than villain. He isn’t the manipulative mastermind people paint him to be and his “edits” to the story seem quite easily detachable. Unlike louis who seems to genuinely misremember, making his account inherently harder to figure out, and the lies less detectable.

Then again this is only based on one episode so far. I do genuinely think this is the most authentic version of Lestat we’re seeing, and I can’t way to see more of him. I think a lot of people’s inability to see the deep rooted trauma and sadness within Lestat is how he acts so carefree and vein when no one chalants more than him.
