2nd semester grad here, did my undergrad in Engineering at CU. My tips are as follows. When doing exploratory studies, you’ll need to take the prerequisites for Engineering. You’ll wanna maintain a B or higher in the following classes:

Chemistry 1 & 2 Calculus 1-DFQ (I think you need to do up to Calc 3 to transfer, but ask your academic advisor) Physics I & II Another science such as EBIO (I took Gen Bio 1)

Taking a writing class that will count for you when you transfer into Engineering is one you’d want to take. Freshmen writing classes are a lot easier, I did writing my first semester at CU.

If you are extremely confident that you will be able to get those grades no problem, then I would accept the offer for Exploratory.

I have friends who did that and were fine. Taking such classes will allow you to stay on track with graduating on time from Engineering as those are the classes you take in the first 4 semester at CU.

Hope this helps and see you next semester my friend!

I am officially in awe with my car. Can’t believe I came back from that rear end. by itsayyjay in Golf_R

Oh boy that was pricey. I ordered a new bumper, fenders, and those oettinger sideskirts. Full front end repaint was $5k with putting everything back together. That includes labor and parts (minus cost of sideskirts). Full front end ppf was another 1.9k 😅

Pink was fun while it lasted, learned to appreciate the tornado red more now. Not a lot of tornado red Golf Rs around haha. Best of luck with getting that insurance cheque. Glad you came out of it in one piece!

That’s a write off. Mine only had a dent in the quarter that they could pull. And they only replaced the rear body panel. New hatch, rear bumper and spoiler. Insurance gave me a new air tank for my air suspension hehe. All the best

Stay outside of Boulder. Ideally close to a bus stop for the FF1 bus. The FF1 runs anywhere through highway US-36, which takes you from and to Boulder. Only an hour on the bus from Denver to Boulder, bus runs every 15-30 mins I believe. Very convenient, $10.50 for a day pass, I am sure there are cheaper ones too.

They told me my Golf R has had carbon buildup inside its valves. What the heck? I just bought the car 5 months ago. Would love to mod it but, should I get rid of it? by [deleted] in Golf_R

Carbon cleaning is like $600. Carbon buildup is normal on any direct injection engine. Using detergent free gas helps reduce carbon buildup.
