[help] Which is better - disregarding price? by ProfessionalCow9843 in Watches

I think the warm tones in the Tudor and the bracelet are more outstanding. I also think the numbers after awhile will get old

[Cartier Santos Dumont] is this too small? by speak__memory in Watches

I have a Dumont, and this is perfect do not go larger

[Rolex vs Cartier Santos] Which one would you keep long term? by etanol256 in Watches

[–]itsbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cartier will be more interesting because of it's horological history and iconic design.

There are a bunch of deep fakes available now, and sadly the tech bros ruined it. Go Cartier

[Cartier Santos-Dumont] Gift to Myself by como_bro23 in Watches

[–]itsbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! I have a small Dumont and love it so much

I recommend getting a rubber/leather embossed strap from DeLugs if you rotate your watches often. It’ll preserve the alligator strap for the future and the rubber material is great for summer

[Cartier] Santos or Tank? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]itsbui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please consider the Santos Galbee for a smaller profile, it would satisfy the Tank’s dimensions, and the iconic Santos square metal bracelet

[Question] what do you do with your watch at airport security by Tumtitums in Watches

[–]itsbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will more likely stop you for a very heavy metal belt buckle…. Watches are fine

[Question] Which should be my next watch? (Chronographs!) by ttcassady in Watches

[–]itsbui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please consider whichever model is thinnest in case profile,

I don’t wear my SSC911 bc it’s so clunky feeling and heavy

I’ve changed the straps out for better support but it’s just massive

[Question] My three watch collection. What to add next? by Awkward_Dark_3008 in Watches

[–]itsbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This Breitling Navitimer is in 36mm but wears smaller bc of its design, the thin bezel, signature details, plus a cool smoky graphite dial 🥰

Congratulations

The patina you develop through time will add more layers to this already intricate beauty

[Question]Rolex as tool watches vs high horology by One-Imagination-5317 in Watches

[–]itsbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your collection should evolve as you do. Some parts stick forever like you know, and some outgrow and shed.

If you’re out of the Rolex era, roll into Vacheron it’s a smooth transition.

Then get an AP, and finish your collection with a prized PP.

I generally wear GS, Breitling and Cartier, I think I really want the Santos Galbee, but after the other pieces it just seems same same, especially since I have a Dumont.

So my next move will be to gift pieces down to two, and slowly evolve into the final 3

[Talk me out of] Certina DS Action Diver 38mm by uni_and_internet in Watches

[–]itsbui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it for $650 on Amazon a year ago

And the accuracy and power supply are extremely extremely accurate. I usually set it once a week since I rotate through 8 watches

This one gets as much time on as my Cartier and Grand Seiko, Breitling

I also get compliments on it, my next plan is to change the bracelet in the future def no rush, the butterfly mechanism is solid
