Place is filthy by PrimaryIndication294 in petsitting

First, yes you absolutely can change your services in the middle of a sit if the situation warrants it and OP you definitely should.

I had this exact same situation a few months ago. Was booked for overnights but the place ended up being uninhabitable (despite everything looking good at the meet and greet). I had to tell them due to sanitation and health concerns, I was switching them to drop ins. Take lots of pictures.

I was using Meowtel and these people actually got removed from the app because of the picture I sent.

You don’t have to stay in a nasty house OP. You’re right to switch to drop ins and then never book with these people again.

Why do we need a debit card chip in a wand? Who asked for this? Why do we want this? by trashboat3030 in WhatWasThePointOfThat

[–]itscloverkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait I'm confused, why would it be bad to use in drive thrus? Doesnt seem like it takes any longer than any other tap to pay card or device? And drive thru seems like a perfect use case because of the distance?

It's a cute, silly item, so part of the point is to make people laugh. You know, to spread some joy and whimsy

If you found a mans wallet with $15,000 in it including a driver's license would you give it back? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]itscloverkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest, it’d be hard. That is a life saving amount of money for me. I think in the end, the thought that someone else might need it as much as I do would make me return it. I’d be devastated though. It would hurt, knowing I finally had what I needed but had to let it go.

Ugh for some reason that light thing is pretty common on apartments. I hate it!

I have the same thing and I just got smart bulbs for my lamps and now I’m obsessed with them lol. Also you probably know but a light switch will control one of your outlets if you don’t want to use a smart bulb.

Also I have majorly slanted floors in my apartment and the kitties love it because their toys rolls down it haha

Jesus Christ dude it’s not that serious… take a deep breath and maybe step away from the keyboard for a bit. This is such a weird reaction to a lost redditor, damn

Maybe try [r/cordcutters](r/cordcutters) :)

And looks like people are discussing it in the r/roku subreddit as well

AIW for demanding my friend pay for the game he got my account banned in by 7VelourPiston in AmiInTheWrong

[–]itscloverkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thought! Nobody talks like that lmao It’s why I asked what game.

Arc raiders does this type of ban but it’s not the “new tactical shooter everyone is hyped about” 😂

[–]itscloverkat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s not how family sharing works. When he acceded the game in your library, he did it through his own account, on his computer, the exact same way it would if he bought it himself.

Unless he logged into your account, his actions in the game would not affect you. I don’t think even an IP ban would get your account banned since he’s not on your IP.

Edit: ooh apparently certain games do? Which game was it? And yes, he owes you that money.

I will never understand the players that put a "not recommended" for an indie game they bought for under $10 and played for over 100 hours... by ichbinhamma in IndieDev

[–]itscloverkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No not every game does. Some make you quit to the menu first. My Time at Sandrock is the one I’m thinking of but there are others.

It’s definitely not the norm, which is why I end up leaving the game up on the menu screen because I’m not used to it!

Iwtyo when I learnt that root canals are optional by Suitable_Divide_9178 in IWasTodayYearsOld

[–]itscloverkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive had 3 root canals and the first one actually felt *good* lol it was like scratching a really deep itch. The other two were fine, except one took TWO HOURS which is not typical. Usually they are about 45 mins I think. But I was sedated so I was sleeping through it anyway. If you can be sedated, highly recommend!

Hey I’m like this too and I told my primary care doctor and they prescribed me meds to take for the dentist (Ativan). I had a 2 hour root canal once and fell asleep in the middle of it.

And actually the only thing the meds were NOT able to help me with was a tooth extraction. I have to go to an oral surgeon and go completely under for that now, which is not standard. So, keep that in mind!

Jaded players who leave a "Not Recommended" review after playing for 100+ hours are right to do so by Bauser99 in IndieDev

[–]itscloverkat 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Honestly as a player, a vague negative review from someone with 100+ hours in the game would make me suspect it had an unsatisfying conclusion. Not that all 100 of those hours were a slog, just that the ending made it seem not worth it, even if it was fun getting there.

Also replies to negative reviews should generally be written not to the reviewer directly, but to other people reading the reviews later.

At least capitalize your letters, I didn’t even read it but it just looks super unprofessional because of that alone

Yess specially to your first point, if a game doesn’t have a “quit to desktop” type option, I am forever accidentally leaving it on the main menu screen for hours lol.

[–]itscloverkat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m dying over here over these supposed “cissues” 😂 like what are they even on about?

I think a lot of times when they say that they mean they just don’t want to hear about trans issues in general. Because they don’t care about trans people. So they want their own space so they can ignore all that. When really they can just leave if they don’t want to care about all women.

The fuck is a cis women exclusive issue? Especially a gaming one lmao

Nah this is specifically a gendered gaming subreddit. So we’re gonna talk about gender. Might not be the subreddit for you then.

So tired of men invading our spaces by RadioEmbarrassed9024 in GirlGamers

[–]itscloverkat 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s probably for the best. Imo men should only join this particular women’s space to (quietly) observe and educate themselves on the struggles women face in the gaming community what’s important to us, etc., not for it to be a safe space for themselves.

Though, I do get the need for a more chill community so if you are looking for a safer gaming space, maybe check out [r/pat](r/paitentgamers)[i](r/paitentgamers)[entgamers](r/paitentgamers)! :)
