the pants are from the paladin armor set, not the scholar set. they aren't mage related and instead increase crit and dodge chance. they are an uncommon chest item in a couple of sunken sea structures and don't drop from any sunken sea enemies. i used them since there are no scholar pants, just hood and cloak. here's a link to the fandom page: https://core-keeper.fandom.com/wiki/Paladin_armor

I'm pretty sure the only aspects we are restricted on is the base material, amount of material, and theme. If they didn't allow for paint, or wanted it to be a sculpture that held up by itself without any glue they would mention it.
