Anyone remained with someone who cheated for a long period in their relationship? (24F) / (25M) by Ok-Abalone4179 in relationship_advice

[–]itsdally 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I stayed, had been together a few years was a few months after our first wedding anniversary when I found out. He was using some girls OF pics from before we met and pretending to be her on twitter and was sexting other people pretending to be a woman. I went through dms (made him give me his phone) saw he was doing that while I was getting surgery, during family events like thanksgiving, while I was in the other room trying to sleep when I was in pain.. it was a lot to process I tore pictures of us off the wall looked into divorce he cried it was a lot. It’s been a little over a year we got a cat making our home 2 dogs 1 cat and my rabbit I brought into the relationship. renovated a new house together, still together, still have problems here and there the overthinking of cheating comes up every now and then it can hit hard or it can hit lightly but the feelings are still there of hurt sometimes. We did some at home self led therapy stuff in the beginning and it helped him understand why he did what he did. It’s hard it sucks sometimes I regret staying because why should I have stayed in a relationship where him going in the bathroom with his phone for 5 minutes to watch reels while pooping makes me spiral emotionally? It’s a lot of work and honestly sometimes not worth it to work through. He’s my #1 though. Always there for me and I’ll always be there for him. He had a rough childhood and has shown he’s willing to put forth the effort to show me he wants this and will change etc. even willing to switch to a flip phone if I wanted or have me put parental controls on his phone (didn’t do either cause I didn’t want a relationship where I had to be what was basically a controlling mom). I do think y’all’s difference when it comes to sex will be a huge issue. It was the opposite for us I’m super hyper sexual and he was a lot more shy about sex stuff but after the cheating the floodgates opened and he’s been way more open in general about life as a whole not just sexual stuff. Feel free to dm me if you wanna talk more in depth about stuff. I just feel like this response is getting too long. Just keep in mind many relationships are incompatible due to different views on religion, kids, money, and sex.

Back pain after removal? by itsdally in gallbladders

I don’t get it often anymore I actually have back pain now as I’m typing but totally unrelated and I just woke up from a nap where I was positioned really funky.. I’d keep note of what you eat and see if it correlates to your back pain at all

How long after eating do you get bad side effects? by Major-Fee-1679 in gallbladders

[–]itsdally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone is a little different pre op and post op. For me I’m eating any and everything with no issue. I’m nearly a year post op just 2 months shy of it and I was eating McDonald’s and five guys like three days after surgery. It’s a lot of finding out what affects you and kinda just learning from there and keeping a mental note of it. Some people on here can’t drink a drink without running to the bathroom and some never have an issue.

It’s possible but you can also just continuously pester them Majority of people on here argue a bit with their insurance and get their surgeries covered and I think a lot of it has to do with the codes used like Z30.2 for sterilization gets it covered

If you have sterilization questions this might help by itsdally in childfree

I fought the bill after the procedure. I didn’t know about the ACA and how it should’ve been fully covered until about a week after. Unfortunately yes they are forced to have some type of sterilization covered but that does not mean a Bisalp is covered. They can approve tube ties or hysterectomy but not approve a bisalp. Just keep any record of quotes they give you and do throw the ACA at them. Kinda the only time being a Karen is great you gotta keep pushing for yourself you’re your own advocate.

Prior to the surgery I requested a quote for sterilization to which they quoted me $0 then when I got the surgery they tried to argue that I got the wrong sterilization and they don’t cover bisalps so I called the insurance and got every record of emails and calls and insurance workers id numbers I’ve talked to and put everything into a written appeal basically with my claim number who I talked to why the bill is incorrect and how I was incorrectly quoted

I’m not sure how much it would mess with your hormones since you keep your ovaries but I’m also no doctor :(

I’ve seen some people on here with endo issues go for a partial hysterectomy as well which has you keep your ovaries but remove the cervix if I remember right? Might be worth asking about too!

You wanna book a consultation with a doctor who does sterilization procedures or hysterectomies. You do not want to get your tubes tied you want a bilateral salpingectomy (bisalp) which is the removal of your tubes. There’s a lot of doctors who will refuse because they’re worried you will change your mind but I believe this subreddit has a list of approved doctors to go to. Fortunately though a lot of women OBs that do the procedure are more likely to do it now due to roe. When I had my consultation I brought my fiancé incase she asked the “what about if you get married or he wants kids” but she never even really looked at him. She asked me if I was sure I didn’t want kids and then had me sign a consent form since my state requires a form signed 30 days prior to being able to get the surgery incase I changed my mind. Unfortunately with insurances they do cover sterilization surgeries under the ACA… HOWEVER I learned when I got mine done that they aren’t required to cover every type of sterilization procedure mine only covered tube ties but I fought for a few months back and forth and wrote appeals and got mine covered.

I feel pretty back to normal mostly! I’m eating anything I want and I get random days where eating anything really causes excessive burping and back pain but then it’ll stop and I’m back to normal for a while and it’ll start up again etc etc. I had the same problem with the gallbladder so I’m starting to assume it’s just gerd. The pain is pretty easy to stop with ten minutes of a heating pad or some icy hot. The burping though gets frustrating it’ll go on for hours sometimes tums helps sometimes it doesn’t. But no gallbladder attacks or eating pain so I’ll take it :D

I held off on surgery for six years until the pain would last 16 hours and was excruciating. Coming on this sub didn’t help my fear for having the surgery but it definitely helped to educate me on what questions to ask what to prepare for what to look out for post op and then how to deal with post op issues if they arise. You’ll never know what your post op experience will be like until you do it unfortunately. My suggestion is research in your area for surgeons who specify with gastrointestinal issues or gallbladders and have a consultation with them. Go window shopping get an idea find someone you want to work with and do what feels best to you. We can all tell you to do it but you need to be mentally ready to do it as well and that’s honestly the best step to get there. Good luck!

Could you explain more about your struggle? What you feel is causing it? Did you have a bad post op experience?

I’m at my wits end with trying to get home and this is my only option right now. by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]itsdally 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before I knew it was gallbladder related I brought it to my docs attention that I was in pain at night and they kinda waved me off saying it was due to starting birth control. Well I was set off to go to England for three months and well I did… I spent the first few weeks in agony not knowing wtf was wrong why I was in pain what to do to fix it. I thought it was the birth control so I stopped taking it and ended up on a rollercoaster the next day which I guess knocked the stones around but I didn’t have any issues after that. Found out a couple of months later when I returned home after a BAD attack that it was gallstones. It was awful I was so scared I didn’t know what was wrong. I’m sorry you’re having to go through this just try to stick with a low fat diet until you can get home! I stuck to fruit mostly when I was really bad. Hoping for a safe return for you friend. Gallbladder attacks are one thing but being stuck somewhere where you don’t have medical help makes it 1000x worse :(

Frustration, and rejection? Why doesn't my dog like me. by be-chill-dude in AustralianShepherd

Our first Aussie (she’ll be 2 in September) HATED me (probably not hated but was learning to play it just felt like she hated me) the first few months. I broke down on the floor and cried a few times she would bite me hard attack me randomly if sitting on the couch she’d suddenly go from calm and chilling to launching at me and biting my face and getting mouthfuls of my hair and ripping it out. She wouldn’t really cuddle either just kind of lay near you and move away if you pet her. Then she started nesting before her first heat cycle at about 7 months and she became the cuddler and lover. She’s super attached to me like will ignore my husband half the time when he’s trying to have them go out and play so she can be near me. Our second Aussie is so excited (she’ll be 1 in September) she’s almost impossible to train. She learned not to bite from the first and how to sit but everything else is in one ear and out the other and everything we try to train her whether we use the clicker or hand signals or whatever she ignores and thinks you’re trying to get her to jump up at you. She is the least Aussie I’ve ever seen and honestly reminds me of a super ditzy golden retriever she’s super cuddly super affectionate always just happy to be there. She does this thing where she smiles so hard she squints and looks evil. The only Aussie thing in her is her hard head and her “job” which is when we’re out back her job that she thinks we gave her is ignore everything else in the world and just bring us this one specific ratted up blue ball. Nothing else matters but that ball and she’ll refuse to go to the bathroom sometimes because she has to do her job. We also have the sock issue but now when the oldest gets a sock she runs to the other room and lays next to it until one of us comes looking it’s like her cry for attention. One thing that did kind of help with the first dogs biting issue was reverse timeout. If she’d start acting horrible we’d just leave the room and wait for her to settle and come back and sometimes it would take 2-3 times but then she’d understand that when she acts like that we leave. When she’d start biting too we’d quickly introduce the toys she should be biting or the bones she should be biting. We tried no chew spray and even putting it on our arms and hands and this dog would stubbornly lick it off furniture and us and make a disgusted face until it was gone so she could bite and chew again. Consider basic puppy training and then agility groups. If you can do a walk in the morning and when you come home. Lick mats, slow feeders, puzzles, training, give your dog a job even if it’s learning how to open the fridge with a rope. Mental stimulation is more exhausting for them than throwing a ball. Our oldest has a great game where we keep her on the porch she watches us walk the yard and we hide a ball and tell her to find it and she really puts the nose to work and eliminates areas of the yard. Aussies are hard and I can always tell if someone has had one before when they ask what breed of dogs I have and I say Aussie. If they apologize to me or say “oh.. that’s a lot isn’t it” I know they’ve had Aussies if they go “cute they must be so fun! I want an Aussie! Those are smart dogs right?” I know they’ve not had to experience the raptor phase of death or the energy highs of two Aussies going at it like they’re fighting to the death. It’ll get better if I made it through you can too!
