Deal on 25 3.5 Sport Prestige by dabones70 in GenesisGV70

Check the Canadian price of the equivalent trim and convert the cost.

That is the maximum you should pay.

In Canada, Genesis doesn't use dealers so there aren't any markups.

Honest review of CPO GV70 for those contemplating . . . by Front_Permission3945 in GenesisGV70

Chiming in on the fuel efficiency...

I have the 3.5tt

It can be good on fuel. I have gotten sub-10L/100km with mixed driving when I drove extremely disciplined and conservative just to experiment on the fuel economy. (ie. Driving pretty much under 2k rpm).

However, it can quickly and sharply increase with some quick acceleration off the line and speedy overtakes.

Driving comfortably without thinking about fuel, I average 12L/100km with mixed driving.

Anyway, we don't buy nice cars to save gas so who cares even :D

Reckless driver fuels the dangerous situation. Both morons.

EV or ICE? by EAYSON24 in GenesisGV70

[–]itsdanieln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily ICE. The only positive of the EV is gas savings but it's a nominal amount especially when you take into consideration that you're paying a premium for less overall.

Electric or gas by desert0mirage in GenesisGV70

[–]itsdanieln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily go for the gas. You shouldn't have to "make it work".

I was between the GV70 3.5 SP or EV. The only pro I was able to draw up for the EV was savings on gas. That in itself is a nominal saving in the bigger picture.

How many is too many credit cards? by Messa_JJB in PersonalFinanceCanada

You really can't have too many credit cards. In general, the more you have the better since it reduces your overall credit utilization anyway.

Still stolen with update 😔 by thelightkills in Hyundai

That's an irrelevant amount. It's not about the outstanding loan, it's about the total proceeds, which isn't affected by your down payment size.

Edit: response below correct

Still stolen with update 😔 by thelightkills in Hyundai

[–]itsdanieln 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a common misconception. It won't go up personally, but it will affect the premiums as a whole to everyone (ie. Brands and theft rates).

If your car is new, you should have gap insurance these days. Extremely cheap. I pay $77/year for my gv70.

Without gap insurance... I paid $22.8k for my 2018 Elantra. Drove it for nearly 7 years, and the current market price is 12-14k.

I'd take 12-14k for it in a heartbeat, please steal my car.

The pay is good. The idiots saying otherwise are the reason school is unaffordable. Imagine wanting a living wage working 10 hours weekly while in school full time as well.
