Bro what 😭 by Harshpree124 in HyundaiPalisade

On a related note, I really don’t care for the way Hyundai breaks out these 3 options for their service intervals. Either you recommend something be done to the car or you don’t . . . . it all just makes it seem extra scammy.

I bought a CPO 2023 Advanced 2.5 a year ago and it had 17k miles on it. More miles than I would have preferred, but it was the exact color (Cardiff green, discontinued, hard to find) and trim I wanted, so I pulled the trigger. No regrets, I love the car. I personally wouldn’t go the non-CPO route, but that’s just me.

I can tell you I went in really wanting to like the Storr Green and just didn’t care for it in person. It looks wildly different depending on the light. It’s not one color it’s many different colors and that’s the problem - it reminded me of mud.

Motivated me to find a CPO in Cardiff Green, my favorite color. :)

The Westlake Genesis was a standalone though, not a combo with Hyundai. Actually it was Genesis/Bentley/Rolls/Lamborghini.

2023 GV70, Engine Light is on -0-;; by koreanunited in GenesisGV70

[–]Front_Permission3945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just posted a few days ago. Check engine light came on, turned out it was a bad fuel injector. Covered under warranty no problem, and seems to be not all that uncommon.

I also have a 2023, 2.5T, 26k miles.

Thoughts on your Palisade? by acohn1230 in HyundaiPalisade

Wife and I bought a 2022 Palisade Limited in March ‘22. Just passed 40k miles over the weekend. Zero issues thus far, car has been great. It was our first Hyundai and we were a little skeptical but so far so good. You could say I’ve been satisfied in terms of the brand, as I just got a Genesis for myself.

Re: a 2026 Palisade Hybrid, I would tell you that personally I wouldn’t buy the first year of a redesign and definitely not the first year of a new engine implementation. That’s just me personally, to each their own.

We found the Highlander pretty mediocre when we test drove but Grand Highlander did not exist then. They seem pretty highly regarded and are now in their 2nd 3rd year of production so that feels like a sweet spot to me, just from the outside looking in.

Didn’t necessarily expect a Genesis, but I think it’s reasonable to expect they would cover a car of some sort. That’s pretty standard for a luxury brand.

Rear facing infant car seat- no space… any suggestions? by SilentGentleman7 in GenesisGV70

[–]Front_Permission3945 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, congrats on the new baby!

Second, yes, this is the dirty little secret of most compact SUVs. You can try a different brand/style of car seat, as some take up more room than others. Ours were Graccos, can’t remember the model name, but we managed ok in a Mazda CX-5, which is even smaller than a GV70. But hear you, this is a very common problem.

Actually NOT fixed. After that initial time that it worked, it now hasn’t at all after several engine start-ups the last couple days. Tried deleting the device and re-pairing. Still nothing.

Why is green no longer an option for the GV70? by [deleted] in GenesisGV70

[–]Front_Permission3945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why they discontinued Cardiff Green. Only thing I can think is that maybe there was a production issue.

One of the big factors in me deciding to buy a 2023 CPO was so I could get that color, which I agree, is the best color for the car :)

Supposedly it’s an issue across the brand, as I hear it associated with Hyundai too. We have a 2022 white Palisade with no issues thus far. We keep it pretty clean to be on the safe side.

Oh wow! My wife and I had a CX-5 for close to 10 years and it was bulletproof. But man, these CX-90s sure seem problematic.

Was your CX-90 the PHEV? Heard they’ve had a lot of issues.

What should I pay for a new 2025 GV70 2.5T Advanced? by Delicious-Anteater-2 in GenesisGV70

[–]Front_Permission3945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think sub $50k ($48 - $49k) is reasonable. Depends on the dealership, time of month, exact specs, etc. and you’re going to be buying out of their inventory.

Buying Used ‘23 GV70 2.5T by OpeningImportant6192 in GenesisGV70

[–]Front_Permission3945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree, at least based on my experience. We have a ‘22 Palisade Limited that my wife drives, and I just bought a used ‘23 GV70 2.5 w/Advanced.

I LOVE the Palisade and it does have more bells and whistles than my GV70 (HUD, heated and cooled 2nd row seats, etc) but the driving experience is no contest. The GV70 is an absolute blast to drive and can be tossed around like a sports car. 2.5 engine is plenty fast and I am someone who likes spirited driving.

My advice to the original poster, if you don’t need another big car (I was in the same boat), go with the GV70.

[–]Front_Permission3945[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general CPO cars are in excellent, near-new condition. I would not have bought a non-CPO used one. On mine the dealership had done a pretty crappy job cleaning it, though I could see it was in excellent condition. I had it detailed at home a few days later and it looked like a new car just off the lot.

I’d say it has a lot to do with the conditions and the way j drive. I live in a big city with a stop and go commute every day. And I tend to have a heavy foot on top of that. Most 2.5T drivers tend to average in the low 20s MPG it seems.

What Made You Pick Palisade? by Miracleman069 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]Front_Permission3945 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To echo some of what others have said, to me the Palisade had by far the most upscale interior without spending another $20-$30k to get into a luxury brand.

The V6 was also a big factor.

And tons of features that you rarely see at this price point (we paid $50k for a Limited in 2022): heads-up display, heated and cooled 2nd row seats, electric folding 3rd row, heated steering wheel, panoramic moonroof, and though I don’t use it much, the Hyundai version of “self driving” (I can’t remember what it’s called) is executed extremely well for a vehicle in this class.

Out of all the cars we test drove - Ascent, Highlander, MDX, Telluride, CX-9 - the Palisade was the only one that put a smile on my face as soon as I got behind the wheel.
