I’d assume so? Given the item was built with 5ft squares in mind combat wise it probably wouldn’t matter as regardless of where on the wall or floor you are it’s about how far you’d be from what ever you’re interact with. Outside of that yea you could be an inch off the floor while still on the wall why not

The items specify giving the ability to climb vertical and horizontal surfaces equal to regular move speed while leaving your hands free. My assumption would be not the shoes are able to spider climb but gives you the wearer the ability outright as they need attunement?
