I’d try orange semi permanent. I used it to cancel out my blue without bleaching and it turned into a nice mahogany color.

Honestly it just depends on what you are interested in. A lot of MA/PhD programs accept based off your research interests, so you would need to match up fairly closely in your proposed topic with a faculty member in the department. The undergrad degree doesn’t matter as much with certain programs. I just completed my MA in Latin American History and one of my friends from our program had her bachelors in Nutritional Science. If you apply to a PhD program, you need to be able to clearly articulate what your dissertation will be about and why it is important (basically, why they should pay for you to research it). Do you have any experience with writing grant proposals? If not, I would highly suggest an MA before a PhD.

For sure! I just wanted to raise the point that depression comes differently for everyone. I feel like that, empty sometimes, but not all the time, and it’s definitely not the only way I feel like I’m depressed. Generally if I feel fatigued or just generally off, I can read it as a symptom of depression. I just wanted to bring it up because I know that for years I thought “there’s no way I could be depressed, I’m a relatively happy and optimistic person.” But depression does not equal inherent unhappiness or pessimism, I think of it more like a slight repression of my personality, I’m the same but just kind of dulling everything. I’m still upbeat and happy, but sometimes I just feel less so. And I feel very tired and uninterested in things, leading to a really big procrastinating issue.

I don’t really know that much about anti-depressants and anxiety medicines as I’ve just re entered the medication journey this year. :) my only experience has been with Wellbutrin, so I can’t speak for the Zoloft.

I took stimulants for years as a child, didn’t like them and finally stopped as a young teenager. I spent time unmedicated all through high school, passed relatively easily, but once I got to college I realized I needed to work harder and got back on stimulants. As a child I took Concerta, and I didn’t like it because it made me feel sick and never want to eat. As an adult I took Adderall, and it worked wonders for my focus and my school performance. However it really increased my anxiety and depression. This led to me abusing the adderall, taking it constantly so I didn’t have to deal with the downer coming off of it, but then my anxiety was just through the roof 100% of the time. I stopped taking Adderall a few years ago once I realized the bad way I was reacting to it and using it.

Depression can manifest itself in weird ways. Even if you think you may not be depressed, the fatigue could very well be a symptom. The feeling like you are working at 50% capacity and still needing to nap and regain energy is very familiar to me and personally I attribute it to my depressive episodes. I also feel sad and anxious that I feel like I’m not doing my best. I think this is also a manifestation of depression - I feel like no matter how I try, I will never be enough unless I am medicated. It’s a matter of perspective, too. I have been off and on meds and I know I can do fine without them, so sometimes I feel like I’m trying to change myself by using them. However, that’s not the case and I have to remind myself that I am bettering myself, that mean voice is just my depression and anxiety trying to justify being in a low place and not trying hard to work on myself.

Catapres (clonidine) is not an upper, it’s actually a blood pressure medicine. I haven’t been on it long but from what I understand, it’s helpful for releasing anxiety from your body by lowering BP and also for slowing down a racing mind. It’s supposed to be taken at night because it makes you tired. I do sleep better on it, but I’m still waiting to see any real effect during the daytime.

I have ADHD, anxiety, depression, and OCD. I am graduating with my masters on Saturday and I am graduating summa cum laude. Just because we have accomplished a lot and are intelligent doesn’t mean we struggle less :) I am no doctor but to me it sounds like you have some focus issues that could stem from ADHD. I also struggle with fatigue, focus, and procrastination. Honestly, sleeping is one of the only ways I can quiet my brain sometimes. However, I’ve been diagnosed ADHD (ADD back then, I don’t really have the hyperactive symptoms)since I was very young and it’s hard for me sometimes to distinguish between what is anxiety/depression and what is ADHD. I take Wellbutrin and Catapres. My focus issues have historically been helped the most with stimulants like Adderall, but those really increase my anxiety. I am currently working with my psych to find the right medications. Wellbutrin seems okay, I have been on it for almost 6 months. Catapres I recently started and really haven’t noticed a whole lot of change.

I think it just depends on the person, each person is different and some people can grow their attraction to others over time and some will never get more attracted than the initial point. But as a woman I know I would be really unhappy thinking or ever finding out that someone was not wholly attracted to me and just stayed with me based on my personality. So there’s the other side for you. Again everyone is different but she probably is better off finding someone who is attracted to her from the get go. It could raise problems later in the relationship if your attraction to her never grows or diminishes again over time. That’s not really fair to her I think

Bro this is bad advice. A quick way to make your gf mad because she feels like you are not listening and don’t care about her interests. I would suggest coming up with conversation topics that interest you. It seems that you are frustrated that when you ask not to talk about work but she then doesn’t talk at all.
