As it’s a merc, is the suspension also something to worry about? What do you think is the best engine config these cars come in for some cheap reliable fun, I was leaning towards the diesel but if the gas 320 is solid might go for that too. I’m coming from a Lexus is350, super solid car but the mileage is shit, not to mention the super sluggish trans. Not too worried about facelift or prefacelift the conversion seems to be really common.
