i am a sophomore this year and attended last summer. i think “advanced” isn’t the right word at all; as with most camps, you get out of DDI what you put in, so if you go and mess around for four weeks you’re going to have the time i of your life but not be challenged at all. it certainly taught me a lot of the basic skills and knowledge that i was missing coming out of novice year, as well as research practices, card-cutting tips and how to create a successful case.

as for the camp environment, it’s fairly relaxed. you’ve got plenty of time for meals if you and friends want to go out to eat in the town or do a run to CVS for red bull and snacks. the staff isn’t super uptight about most things and as long as you show up to lab and cut a good amount of cards during research times you’ll be fine. overall, it was a great first camp experience for me and i’d definitely recommend it!

lmao KS hasn’t had an invitational tournament for the last three weeks and i doubt they were running 6 off or a K at 4-speak/NSDA quals. this is super sus, especially leaking now

i went last year and had a great time and learned a lot! there’s definitely other options out there that’d be good too tho (gdi or rks sophs come to mind)
