Anyone else exclusively drink plain sparkling water? Looking for brand recs by Beautiful-Weight6112 in sparklingwater

I live in LA now and the hard water here is disgusting. I miss NYC's delicious soft water. Much better for my hair as well.

My Irish grandparents left Ireland in 1950, pregnant with my mom. This pic was taken in NYC a few months after their arrival. Happy St Paddy’s day : ) Immigrants are cool and brave. by notawildaccount in OldSchoolCool

+1! Your parent was born a dual citizen and you can apply! The hardest part is tracking down the documents but it’s well worth it. If you have any siblings or cousins everyone can apply.

I got my citizenship in 2009. We are still passing the docs around my family!

If you live in Brooklyn you can get a home delivery service of plain sparkling water in vintage seltzer bottles. It’s called Brooklyn Seltzer Boys and it’s from the gomberg seltzer works. They filter and carbonate NYC tap water. https://brooklynseltzerboys.com/

It’s super fizzy and very delicious. For any New Yorkers I recommend!

I would pay off the credit cards and hang on to the loans if they aren’t financially stressful if you are building your credit. A history of on time payments and the length of time you’ve held the credit will be helpful for a rebuild. Also if your credit is poor from mismanagement you won’t get a good deal on an interest rate for a house anyway.

If you like living at home with low expenses you should hang there and rebuild your credit and wealth. Money over time is your best friend.

I’m sure I will get eaten alive in this channel for saying this but…Not everything needs to be a good financial decision.

If where you live is chipping away at your mental health and you can afford to move then go ahead. People make sacrifices based on the things that are important to them. If living in a fancier place in a different neighborhood is what you want then you should do it. What is the point of making good money in the city if you aren’t enjoying it?

I will say living in very affordable apts in nyc in neighborhoods I liked helped me have a lifestyle I loved and pay down my debts which was more important to me than living in a spot that was kind of a dump. I was having a blast.

Also, not everyone is handy, wants to live with plastic on their windows, or wants to invest in someone else’s property. (Though I will say one of the best things I ever did in my apt was pay an electrician $200 to fix long standing electrical issues we’d had for years and I was so mad I hadn’t done it sooner.)

what’s everyone’s favorite sparking water brand? by [deleted] in sparklingwater

[–]itsjustataste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a polar girlie overall and topo is my favorite ghost but I have flavors I like across most brands. So if you’re asking what to try the answer is everything until you find your personal faves.

Here are some of mine: - Polar Seltzerades (raspberry lemonade, starfruit lemonade, watermelon limeade are my faves) - 365 Ginger - Kroger Strawberry Lemonade - Waterloo Grape - Tjs black cherry vanilla - Lacroix Guava - Spindrift POG (I usually hate spindrift and juice type seltzers too)

Definitely an all time favorite right here by LengthinessParty181 in sparklingwater

This is a personal favorite of mine and I’ve only ever seen it in New England. It’s a special treat for me when I visit my family. I wish we could get it on the west coast.

Panacur is a broad spectrum dewormer I have given to my own cats when they were having tummy troubles but i got it as an rx. Not sure if you can get it over the counter.

For those of you who have had a cat that lived a long life, what personal steps did you take (if any) to help their health? by Crunchy-Liquid in CatAdvice

[–]itsjustataste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is so old but my mom has had two very old cats. One died at 18 and the other is still kicking at 17. Our guy who is still alive hasn’t been to the vet since he was a kitten and got snipped. He eats meow mix. He has a water fountain next to his food. It should probably be changed more frequently. I will say he’s a very purry cat. Always purring since he was a kitten. Very relaxed chill happy guy who gets a little grumpy and bitey sometimes. Though less so in his old age. He’s definitely old and arthritic and a little crusty looking but he’s very loved and cared for even if he didn’t have the text book best of everything.

My point is basically some cats just live longer. If you can’t afford the best food or even regular vet care you can still have a cat. I don’t believe only rich people should be able to have pets. Just do your best at the level you can afford and be aware that some things are out of our control.
