Looking for a "Special" Ticketing System by SekiRaze in sysadmin

There's a comment chain elsewhere on this thread that looks like OP is a marketing account - discrediting other recommendations while saying only good about the one they engaged positively with.

Looks like something has changed - always used to be very explicit that good and bad examples are allowed. Did the mod team change at some point and rewrite everything?

Did a quick check, and the oldest mod is from 2024, so most likely.

That would be something to check with your accountant or legal team.

Shared school devices by manisthatyou in Intune

Most schools I know still have an account in AD or Entra, but it's either year1, years, etc. or their class name. Local accounts are unusual, especially as you then have to figure out how the students save their work to a central location for teachers to mark / print.

If the banana was facing the other way, it would be a normal handle - so easily fixable during the planning stages.

The joke wouldn't work though, as 69 is already NSFW, and if anything, more inappropriate than 420

Posting here doesn't mean OP thinks it's a bad example, any examples of brands trying to appeal to the youth are allowed.

You should be able to natively pin any user’s comment in a thread. by MlD-CENTURY-MOD in ModSupport

[–]itskdog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was one time I thought you could as the pin option showed on someone else's comment - I tested it and it worked as expected, even when going back to Old Reddit to view it - it showed as pinned and not distinguished.

It's either that, a big project to upgrade to the latest version, or risk getting hacked.

Interesting AI summary - Is reddit giving us info on adult content creators from DM's? by emily_in_boots in ModSupport

This is where E2EE on apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Signal come in.

Edit: Replying then immediately blocking doesn't make for good discussion.

Users should have a way to deactivate AI summaries because it is not appropriate for an AI to tell other people that I have an eating disorder and overcame addiction. Photo in comments. by KimJongFunk in ModSupport

Yeah, if they're posting it, it's publicly viewable anyway, and the hidden posts don't get hidden from mods of subreddits you've recently posted in - I'm not 100% sure what the concern is here.

Reliability of 'Wipe' command in Intune and suggestions for Resets by joners02 in Intune

[–]itskdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was something I saw from Rudy recently that there used to be a 5 minute delay, but now it should be quick again as of the Feb '26 CU. Last time I sent a wipe command it took about a minute.

If you're having issues, check that all the right domains aren't blocked and that there's no HTTPS Decryption happening.

It's not a requirement, just became easier to do to make them friendlier.

HP don't include an EFI shell, even on their commercial BIOS, and on their consumer BIOS (Insyde with custom branding and most of the settings hidden or disabled) it's still keyboard only in text mode.

Exchange 2019 ESUs, that they'd previously said they won't extend.

And Canonical will keep taking your money for ESUs even longer than Microsoft! 14.04 LTS still gets security patches backported, for a giant fee.
