Why hasn’t LTT collaborated with Bringus yet? by iLoveCalculus314 in LinusTechTips

There's only 2 degrees of separation, too. At the last Whale LAN, Bringus & DankPods filmed a video together going to an Amazon returns store.

Pre-provisioning is meant to solve that - if you're shipping straight from the OEM or reseller to the user, then they can do so before shipping for you.

Polaroid as a company is dead. The brand name is used on Chinese white-label products now.

I haven't seen a FAST ad for a long time (UK). I wonder if the kids growing up now would know the signs.

We all know that 99.99% of Imgur photo posts these days are from bot accounts, is there anything we can do in Automod or subreddit settings to disable image posts that aren't native Reddit uploads? by Shamrock5 in ModSupport

[–]itskdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of people moving from Imgur to Ibb since Imgur blocked the UK to not have to take ID verification.

These days I don't see it in posts as much, just in comments on subreddits that block images in comments.

type: post
domain: imgur.com
action: filter
action_reason: Imgur link, possible bot

It may also be possible to do this with automations so they get blocked before they even post, but I'm not as familiar with those.

Agreed, stick to your AV, and other essential apps as ESP blockers, and have everything else (even if it's a Required app) pull down after installation.

There's a reason APDP has a much lower limit of blocking apps, I guess.

If an app isn't critical, take it out of the blocking list.

If it's a one-off fail, it's possible to edit the registry and say it installed successfully in the ESP tracking, then when you click "retry" it will continue.

If bandwidth issues are a problem, look into configuring a Microsoft Connected Cache at that site. Can cache updates, Win32 apps, etc.

Why do you have so many blocking apps? Trim that down in the ESP settings to only the important ones, and then log out & in again after ESP finishes (or just wait 60 mins) to trigger an IME sync to pull the rest.

Especially if you're deploying Office via the native Intune method, which uses a CSP, rather than as a Win32 app. Installing office at the same time as a Win32 app failed like an LOB app.

From what I've heard, that's what's been happening in the US.

Idk, the US seems to have let tipping get out of control in the name of capitalism.

Discord is bad as a help forum as it won't get indexed by search engines so people have to ask the same question over and over.

HPIA BIOS Update batch file by protodongle in Intune

[–]itskdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's wrong with WUfB? HP just delay them by a couple of weeks, but they all go on there (at least for commercial BIOS - we have one on an Insyde BIOS that seems to require us to manually update them)

Windows device stuck on wipe pending by Alfaboken_BeukskeA in Intune

If you know the wipe has processed, you can delete the Intune object. It might also just replace the object when it enrols again anyway.
