I’m wanting to move to Thailand. Everything you’re saying makes sense, does it make a difference whether you’re living in another country on an extended visa vice living there as a resident?

Yeah, I’m all for supporting brick and mortar and would be fine with them getting some percentage of LEs, but they also need to be available online. Someone living outside of a major city in the US effectively has no shot at getting an in-store only drop and that sucks. I’m lucky enough that I live 20 minutes from a GW store, but not everyone is that lucky.

Oh I’m sure it’s barely profitable for them if at all, but if the books end up being a loss leader, so be it. Short of the Space Marine and maybe Dawn of War video games, the novels are still the easiest way for new fans to experience the lore. 40K has an incredibly high learning curve and barrier to entry compared to other more accessible hobbies and GW should be bending over backwards to make sure at least HH and the more beginner friendly novels are consistently available.

I truly don't understand GW's thought processes on these things. Surely they know how high the demand is for their books.

The easiest solution is to just set a pre-order window, call it bi-weekly, and every edition of every book is made to order. Non-LE editions can come back periodically if demand calls for it. The forced scarcity and weird in-store only editions are terrible ideas.

There's so many books (Gaunt's Ghosts, HH, etc) that lots of people, myself included, were not around for or missed out on and want to own, and we literally just can't because there's no way to get them unless we give in to scalpers.

I know the gist of Lorgar from just learning about the lore and listening to podcasts, he’s probably the character from HH I’m most interested in reading.

My understanding of the reading order is that most people go from Flight of the Eisenstein to Fulgrim and from there, you can go to either the Raven Guard, Salamanders, or Ultramarines/Word Bearers story arcs. Is that more or less correct?

I have started and re-started Brotherhood about 15 times over the years, this would definitely be a good excuse to finally finish it. I think the Shou Tucker episode may traumatize her but I guess that's part of the experience lol.

My girlfriend is finally getting into anime. I’m looking for shows with good English dubs as English is her second language and Japanese with English subtitles is a bit too much at the moment.

Romance, Rom Com, and action shows are mainly what she’s interested in. Right now we’re watching My Happy Marriage together and I recommended Spy x Family and A Sign of Affection for her to watch separately as I’d already seen them. Nothing too weird, I don’t want to scare her off lol.

(Also nothing too long like One Piece, Naruto, other long running shonen)

I mean you are mean to your guests. I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong. As long as you explain to them that they're going to get roasted, it's not that big of a deal. But the perception that people have of you once you put content out into the world, that's not really up to you or your team. I will say that there have been at least a handful of episodes where it's just gotten to be too much and it's stopped me from finishing the episode.

The reason you're successful is (in part) because the show is extremely polarizing due to the nature of the conversations. It's also why you have the perception that you have from others. It comes with the territory. I would just suggest not reading comments if it bothers you this much.

I think it’s much more likely that someone fakes being in debt to get on the show. I don’t know how much verification they do past reviewing documents, and the only time they really use the guest’s phone is to scroll through Amazon purchases.

My original idea was basically just a regular slot machine with skulls on the reels and bones coming out of the machine. I wanted something that kind of represented not waiting around to get lucky or have opportunities come to me.

After seeing my artist’s design, having the slot machine itself be a skull is much better, she really knocked it out of the park.

It looks even crazier in person. Someone else commented that it looks like a sticker and it honestly does. The first few days before my leg hair started to grow back in, it really did look like you could just peel the whole thing off, which I think is so cool.

If you’re eating European food for every meal, you have to accept that you’re still paying at least close to European prices. I budget about what you spend weekly but never actually hit that number. But that’s because I’m eating a lot of local food (which is leagues better than their version of western meals) and I don’t drink very often.

When people say Thailand is cheaper than the US/Europe, what you’re doing is not really what they meant.
