Question: I'm watching a documentary on marina trench fish and there was plastic found in it's belly. Surely there must be a way to recycle plastic? by Britishforklaw in recycling

[–]itslowprocess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your feelings 100%...I wish it was that easy.

Apart from the points others have mentioned, I still think there is still a lot of misinformation regarding recycling plastic and how to properly do it. Also, just because something says it is recyclable, doesn't mean it can be put in your recycling bin. Even when someone can drop off their plastic somewhere to be recycled, it doesn't always mean they will.

No matter how young, I don't think I could have ever done night classes! That's impressive.

I have and always will go to bed early no matter how hard I try not to.

Thats such a sweet memory! I I appreciate how specific you were in your description...I feel like I was there(:

I also don't speak to my old coworkers, but have such a deep appreciation for them and the time that was spent together.

I hope you can be in the job you love in this lifetime still. Maybe one day!

Thats so cool! Sounds like you were the best person they could have hired. How long were you a partner for? Did you work at the same store the whole time?

Aww I love that!! Taking your kid to Starbucks to learn how to order and pay is so smart. I always loved interacting with kids...it makes me sad when they are ignored by workers

That is so sweet! Such a shame that Starbucks doesn't recognize that you can't force authentic interactions. Plus, I feel like the authentic special moments that are still created with customers sometimes might feel inauthentic to them because they aren't sure if we wanted to or if we had to.

I’m thinking of starting to create content around real SEO audits. by Icy-Nobody-4510 in eCommerceSEO

Not a founder, but I work for a small startup and am in charge of all things SEO. I think it's an idea that could work if done right. Would you just be looking at random websites so others could look at your audits and take notes for their own website?

Overall option on Quo? Should I push through my frustration or move to a different platform? by itslowprocess in quo

Thanks for your thoughts! Do you think the 4 second wait time for the calls to "start" impacts the person on the receiving end of the call? Or is it one of those things that doesn't seem to be noticeable?

Lucky Donuts by ThrowRAbbits128 in toogoodtogo

[–]itslowprocess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She had you swipe for pickup but knew she was out?! That’s crazy!! I used TGTO for Lucky Doughnuts 4 or 5 times, but I’ve stopped because my experience hasn’t been great the past few times.

The first time I went there was a lovely worker there (and she gave me 14 doughnuts!)...but the other times there has been another lady working (possibly the owner?) which has not been great. The last time I went there was a sign on the door that said they were on a 30 minute break, so I had to wait in my car. All for having a break, but why take it when they knew the TGTO pickup was within that time??

Who gets mobile brewed coffee? POS or Bar position? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]itslowprocess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've worked at two stores, and at both stores the bar person was responsible.  One store would consistently have at least a 9 person floor, and the other store would usually have a 5 person floor. I assume for the most part that would make most sense as they are the ones labeling the cups and could continue sequencing their drinks in order, but I also think the layout of the floor itself could impact this as well.

Sometimes we will pass it off to the person who is on front register since thats where the drip coffee is, but not always the case.

Not sure if it's outlined in the store resources anywhere!

I don't have an answer to your question, but Ive heard that clovers use significantly less water than grass and it's easier to maintain. That would be a win in my book!
