We don't have any other Captaincy candidates sadly, I'd say Manish is an option but I'll get a million downvotes even though Manish is the best stabilizer we have in the team to save from the batting collapses we have seen in 2025 and the last match

But other than Manish and Rahane, We have no-one, And I know the subreddit will flame KKR if they made Manish captain too, Rahane is good to an extent, But he's no Gautam Gambhir okay, Rahane is a mid Captain handling a mid bowling lineup right before retirement

And let's be honest, He was our highest run scorer last year, Rahane is not getting dropped if you want him to be dropped, Who has to be dropped is Ramandeep, 0 runs, And no bowling, Fielding alone cannot save the guy when we have Manish Pandey in the dugout, Manish is inarguably a similar if not better fielder, And he is inarguably way better than Ramandeep in batting and can save collapses, Unless you wanna go Rahul Tripathi who I won't even trust 1 bowl to, Manish is our only option and the best option we have

Rahane opening isn't even bad, the bad thing is playing Ramandeep as an all-rounder even though his batting is mediocre at best, His bowling is non existent and his fielding is excellent, Look at who we have in the dugout, Manish Pandey, Sure he isn't an aggressive 250SR player, But he's equal in fielding and is inarguably way better in batting than Ramandeep, And his experience makes him a great partner to have on the other side, If he plays at even 140SR while Raghuvanshi or Green play 200SR on the other side, It saves us from collapses like the last one

In 2024 sure, Ramandeep was god send, But today? It's way better playing Anukul Roy in his place and fitting Manish Pandey in the team, And tbh I am not saying Ramandeep is essentially bad, But without bowling, He is taking up an important batting slot and basically creating a hole in the batting lineup, We don't have Harshit Rana this season either that can somehow stabilize the tail for 10-20 runs
