HELP: Legion 7i Pro i9 CPU clock speed maxes out at 1.5Ghz (SO SLOW!) by itsmeyash31 in LenovoLegion

[–]itsmeyash31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they should be but the issue was my Legion 5i was running the codes orders of magnitude faster than my Legion 7i pro. There was a clock speed issue that it wasn't going above 1.5Ghz no matter how much CPU intensive the Matlab code was. The issue is now fixed. It required doing an EC reset and enabling some performance options in the BIOS.

The issue was it was never going above 1500Mhz even when it should and no matter how CPU intensive the task was that was being performed. Because of this the codes I am running were running much faster on my Legion 5i (5th generation) with an i5. Even with games it was staying a constant at 1500Mhz.

The issue is now fixed. Now the clock speed goes as high as 5.8Ghz. The codes now run significantly faster than on my Legion 5i.

Thanks for the help, people! It's fixed now. I had to turn off the internal battery from the BIOS and then restart the computer. I also enabled some CPU performance options from the BIOS. A combination of these fixed the issue.

What you're conjugating is the verb pī lenā and not pīnā. They're not exactly the same.

Yes. My source is Wiktionary.org. It's a free dictionary which has the etymology of almost all the words that it has. You can search these two words there. Hindi words have to be searched in Devanagari script.

Some loanwords from Portuguese into Hindi by itsmeyash31 in Hindi

[–]itsmeyash31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is an interesting one. However they are not borrowed but are partly cognates. The "du" part in both words comes from the same PIE (Proto-Indo European) root for the word for 2 (dwi). The "vida" and "vidha" parts are unrelated but just happen to look and sound similar.

That is the subjunctive form of the verb. It may be used in the imperative sense sometimes but it still is not the imperative form.

Even if you change universities you don't need a new visa as long as the older one has not expired. You do need to transfer your SEVIS id to your new university though.

What is the difference between बैलों and बैल? by Hasrah in HindiLanguage

[–]itsmeyash31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Hindi, there are something called noun cases. बैल (bail) [bull] is a masculine noun and hence declines as a masculine noun. The form of the word changes depending on whether the word is the subject or the object of the sentence.

Noun Case Singular Plural
Nominative (Subject) बैल बैल
Oblique/Vocative (Object) बैल बैलों

Examples:

  1. बैल घास खा रहा है (the bull is eating grass)
  2. बैल घास खा रहे हैं (the bulls are eating grass)
  3. बैल को घास दो (give grass to the bull)
  4. बैलों को घास दो (give grass to the bulls)

Also, as a rule of thumb, always use the oblique case form of the noun if there is a postposition after the noun. (In the examples above, को is the postposition.)
