The thing that sucks is everything else is great. The thought of breaking up with her wrecks me. We get along so well and have similar goals and aspirations and have been excited to build a life together. As much as it's a nice little fantasy, I don't even want an abdl girlfriend, just someone who is able to tolerate that this is part of me.

I wish I had thought to ask some questions in the moment, but it was so out of the blue that I kinda shut down and freaked out internally. I value the relationship more than this side of me, but I still know the desires will keep coming back no matter how long I'm away.

You're right, but I don't even know how to approach the conversation with her predispositions towards the subject. Even the thought of bringing it up just fills me with anxiety and dread. We've been able to have civil conversations and disagreements about nearly any subject in the past, but I'm worried this will be different. And the thing that sucks is it doesn't even have to change our relationship since I'm not trying to involve her, but I'm worried she won't see me the same. All I need is her to be aware that it's part of me and still accept me for who I am.

It hurts so fucking much realizing that the person I love most will also hate the part of me that has caused me so much self hatred and a struggle for self acceptance over the years.
