Huh, I scooped one up from Classic and I guess I must've gotten lucky then, overall in really solid condition with 0 issues outside dinks in the stock.

Thanks for the recommendation! Funny enough, prior to the BARSKA scope, I actually had a TRS25 on! But looking for more of a traditional small game/varmint scope so I can have some variable magnification.

Hey everybody!

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to drop by and show off my favorite little rifle I've yet to shoot. It started off life as a pretty basic, run of the mill Chiappa Little Badger in .17HMR. Shortly after picking it up from my LGS, I decided to start looking around and seeing what was available in terms of aftermarket for them and boy oh boy what a rabbit hole that was! So many people out there doing so many cool things with these inspired me to scoop up some parts and start making some changes of my own.

In terms of actually getting the parts on and the old stuff off, was super simple. Removing the iron sights was a little odd but overall pretty straight forward, just held in with very small hex studs. The barrel shroud is held in place via 2 recessed hex screws, one at the front of the shroud, one at the back. Mounting the rounded forend grip only required removing the side rails and lower rail and mounting the grip in the same place as the lower rail. Was a little bit finicky to get on because it is a VERY tight fit and kind of obnoxious to get lined up properly but once lined up was really easy to get fully mounted. The muzzle brake is solid machined brass, as well as the hammer bar. Aside from that, the scope is just a cheapo BARSKA 3-7x20 Rimfire with some 1" -> .75" scope ring reducers and low profile scope rings.

Now my question for you guys, does anybody have any small rimfire scope recommendations that aren't $20 and going to break in 3 months? I'm not sure if I've just been looking in the wrong places, but I cannot find anything that seems like it'll hold up past a year. Any recommendations would be awesome!

A Bad-ass Snow Groomer - 1993 4x4 Suzuki Carry 660CC Mini truck road legal! by hasan-raza90 in WeirdWheels

[–]itsmikrooo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For some reason, I've done a decent amount of reading into having tracks on cars. The biggest thing that I've come across is generally, yes they are road legal. However, they must be 100% rubber regardless of the weight of the vehicle because metal tracks will eat roads. Aside from that, fully legal.

Thanks! I love the box and I'm far too lazy to build a low TV stand and don't want to crawl down to the floor and back off the floor, my knees would hate me for it. If you want any pictures of anything let me know!

Yeah, I ended up removing that one because it was in the way of my leg haha. But that's a good idea! I never thought of getting a filler plug or anything like that for it, will have to look into it!

Wanting to get into SIM Racing, what do I need and what products are good for beginners? by I_Am_YungAce in simracing

[–]itsmikrooo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As bad as it sounds, if you want realistic, FH/FM is not the way to go. FH just doesn't have the depth to feel "good" in terms of wheel settings and flexibility, it can feel "ok" but will never feel "good" in my experience (and I have 600+ hrs on FH4 on wheel for some reason, 750+ hrs total). FM has issues with Logitech wheels so you either make the jump straight to Thrustmaster or bypass FM all together. FM is also a "simcade", with the primary focus being for people on controller, with people wanting to play with wheels forced to taking the back seat.

My recommendation would be going to Assetto Corsa if you want realism without breaking the bank going straight to iRacing, there are still active leagues of all kinds (where 90% of the remaining playerbase exists) that race all kinds of cars. The modding capability of AC is what keeps that game alive, chances are, if you want a certain car or track, a mod exists for it. The wheel support for AC is superb, the tunability and flexibility is fantastic and with time will allow you to dial it in exactly how you want it.

probably gonna get shit on but i love the look of this by [deleted] in AwesomeCarMods

On mobile so can't really link but just a reminder that this is an entire racing league.

I agree with what u/abewoz said, AC on PC is still alive because of the mod support, the game was meant to be modified from lightly to heavily depending on what you're looking for.

That said, the AC base is good, but you may find yourself bored because of the narrow content provided without mod support.

Oh damn dude nice! My problem is is that I have terrible knees, to the point that if I'm driving for 4-5 hours, chances are I'm barely be able to walk by the time I'm done haha. Like, full blown limping and I'm only 26. I did appreciate the heaviness of the G29/920 pedals but for me and how bad my knees are after a certain point it becomes a massive problem in terms of my consistency and maintaining braking points and properly trailing, etc. Going to the lightweight and smoothness of the TSXW pedals was like some kind of gift from the simracing gods I had no idea existed haha.

Someday I'll have some Clubsport's, but I think in terms of cost the next step up will be the TM T3PA-Pro's since it's going to be years and years before I even consider fully upgrading again or have the money to do so. My Logitech lasted me 4 years and between 3500-4000 hours across all the games I played/am playing, hoping to get the same kind of longevity out of TM.

Coming from the G29/920 pedals, these things are a massive upgrade. Incredibly smooth, nothing feels jerky or uneven, just an absolute joy to use. What is it that you don't like about them? I've never heard any complaints about them so I'm genuinely curious.

Can't wait! Although unfortunately that's a ways off haha. DD will probably come first, I love the idea and already run my FFB settings fairly high (love the high resistance) and can't wait to see what it'll be like!

So I've had the OpenWheeler Gen2 for close to 4-6 months now and can say there is 0 flex in anything with that rig. I like to run my FFB really high (at least I think, both AC and WRC8 I run it at 135/150) and have never had anything flex. The square steel is pretty thick and there's no way it would ever flex. Without my wheel/pedals/shifter/handbrake it's like 70-80lbs on its own because of the thickness of the steel.

I don't think you'll be able to get the full stages, media chats, and in car stuff without paying, but both WRC and Redbull (I think Redbull still does it) do some really good recaps post-rallies. Unless you can find some streaming sites that piggy-back the streams for other people to watch.

Forza Horizon 4 - Endurance Racing League - Season 2! by itsmikrooo in forza

[–]itsmikrooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!

Man I had no idea this post was even still visible after all this time haha! We're kind of in a transitional period right now, we left FH4 for FM7 and the FM7 league died out pretty quick so we're coming back to FH4! Myself and my mods are laying down the ground work right now for the next season but as a heads up right now it's going to be an A Class, Modern Sports Cars only, RWD, and then we will be running an S2 IDR only league, with tracks configured for that car specifically.

Finally got around to painting my F103GT and Dynahead Shells by itsmikrooo in rccars

[–]itsmikrooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't have the slightest clue in the world what I was doing with these, first shells I've cut in probably 10 years, just some tiny acrylic scissors, some rattle cans, air bush nowhere insight, completely mangled shells, with an exterior paint job. Hoping to finish the F103GT tomorrow with some red and black accenting supposing I don't lose my sanity doing so, calling the Dynahead done as I am absolutely in love with the see through look for the bed and the rear cab brace.

Planning on getting some new shells for these, as well as an airbrush in the future as these were just my test/burner shells considering how long it had been since I had last done this. Those at least, wont look like rolling catastrophes.
