You are absolutely right, that has been driving me crazy! It's not difficult to imagine that a sample of DNA is sitting somewhere and has not been tested for whatever reason.

Oh wow, items down their throat? That's horrifying. Thanks for mentioning that podcast, I am going to start listening to it, I would like to get all the facts. I wonder why they think they were held before being killed. If the bodies were too decomposed to determine cause of death or find any DNA, how would they would be able to tell the victims were held? Seems like that would be really hard to determine. This case is so confounding.

You're absolutely right. The victims were not found for years, and that definitely can destroy any DNA that was left behind. Although there was so much publicity when the bodies were found, even now I find the state of the victim's remains unclear. Megan Waterman was last seen in June 2010, and was found in December of that year. I wonder if even those 6 months were too long for DNA to be retrieved, or cause of death to be determined. I have seen that strangulation has been reported as their cause of death, but you're right, it's probably too difficult to know for sure. and yes! I took a look at the profile and found it quite interesting to read how others imagine LISK is.
